Greetings, all-

how do you feel about the kink? I am sure we have all had moments of worrying if perhaps this wasn't wholely healthy or good for us, and moments of thinking that this stuff raises us up from the masses.

where does your day to day fall in?

Stay warm,
Lawrence

Oh MAN...those are some wild choices.

Adventurous spirit....through and through.

TallDarkAndWitty -> RE: Are you crazy? (6/19/2004 4:21:16 PM)

Hey Lawrence...

I think it all depends on your definition of mental illness. I am certain there are mental health professionals who would see much of what I think about, fantasize over and do as unhealthy and even ill. Yet, does that make me a bad person? I hope not.

The key is finding two ill people will complimentary illnesses. Kind of like Mr Burns and his Three Stooges Syndrome, get those illness lined up so they can't all kill ya at once...

Yours,
Taggard

P.S. For the record, I'm ill and I like it that way...(why did writting that make me want to listen to a Beastie Boys song???)

January -> RE: Are you crazy? (6/19/2004 4:26:29 PM)

All of the above.

Taggard,

For the record, I am too and I do too; but I don't think of it as the reason I'm twisted. I like January's answer...all of the above.

My vote goes for all of the above.

I checked "adventurous spirit" because i was just plain bored with vanilla and needed something different. It just took me too damn long to figure it out.

Estring -> RE: Are you crazy? (6/19/2004 7:51:29 PM)

I don't think I am mentally ill... or am I? I don't think I am mentally ill... or am I? I don't think I am mentally ill... or am I? I don't think I am mentally ill... or am I? I don't think I am mentally ill... or am I? I don't think I am mentally ill... or am I?
What was the question again?

January -> RE: Are you crazy? (6/19/2004 8:03:26 PM)

Would a bitch slap help?

Estring -> RE: Are you crazy? (6/19/2004 10:46:13 PM)

Lol. A bitch slap wouldn't, but slapping a bitch might. [;)]

GoddessMarissa -> RE: Are you crazy? (6/20/2004 12:50:50 AM)

When I first started having thought's of S/M I thought there might be something wrong with me. As I started meeting others with the same interests I became more comfortable with who I am. I have always been adventurous.

ModeratorThree -> RE: Are you crazy? (6/20/2004 5:57:40 AM)

In other words Marissa... you found the rest of us insane people.. welcome to the looney bin. Enjoy you're stay. Meds are passed out at 7, ,11 and 5 . Dinner is served at 6. Don't let the ones that talk to themselves bother you. They're ok... really.. I promise. ;)

hahaha ya know, there have often been times when I posted and was the only person in the thread who was not responded to. At those times I thought I was talking to myself.

iwillserveu -> RE: Are you crazy? (6/20/2004 6:10:13 AM)

Lawrence,

now that is really crazy

Am I different than the guy who consented to be eaten? Only by degree. If the desire to be harmed by having your penis cut off, fried, the sitting down to eat it with the person who grants your wish to be cannibalized is proof of insanity, why isn't submitting to a caning?

Here's a disturbing thought. Any Dom/me (or top, whatever) granting the wishes of a sub/slave begging to please hurt me is as guilty of using another’s insanity for their own sick perverted purposes like the eater. The difference is only in degree.

Oh, I'm clearly nuts. I told on another board how my chastity fetish came about. Any Domme who belts me is an enabler. The only difference between me and the eat me guy is I won't die. The only difference between, say Lady Beckett, and the cannibal is she won't help me die.

ModeratorThree -> RE: Are you crazy? (6/20/2004 6:11:22 AM)

It's OK Suz, talking to your self can be healthy, don't let the Docs tell you otherwise. There are a lot of us here that find you to be OK... ;)

We got yer back, and will not let them drag you to that mind warp thing.

I promise, and my other personalities concur at this moment.

Sinergy -> RE: Are you crazy? (6/20/2004 6:26:46 AM)

A large percentage of people in my life think I am completely freaking nuts.

On the other hand, the large percentage of people in my life whose opinion I actually
care about think I am wonderful.

I have to agree with the poster who said it is all a matter of degree. If you plot everything on a rubber chicken graph, the dividing line for crazy / not crazy behavior is in a different spot on the chicken for every person. Get enough people to the left or right of the dividing line and there is frequently a tendency to polarize and try to carve the dividing line in stone.

Peace out,

Sinergy

Sinergy -> RE: Are you crazy? (6/20/2004 6:30:01 AM)

I didnt answer the question...

My nicknames on both an internet game and at work tend to revolve around a central theme of being mentally ill. It tends to work for me.

NetherLord -> RE: Are you crazy? (6/20/2004 8:21:16 AM)

Every time I question this, I realize that vanilla girls don't follow a decent set of rules for relationships- if you try to get them to talk, they call the police. If you try to ask them out too often, they call the police. If you try to hold hands or act like a couple before _she_ wants to, they call the police. If you guess what she wants (because she won't ever tell you) and guess wrong, she calls the police.

Do we see a pattern emerging here?

BDSM girls communicate, usually don't mind doing "couple" stuff after a _reasonable_ period of time, and will actually tell you what they want. Did I mention they communicate more?
