I love the sensations, I love being wild and naughty and daring. I'm a happy sub, blissful and fulfilled. Sure, I'm crazy as a loon, but I don't have psychological PROBLEMS. Above all, I'm a sub because... because I just AM a sub. I'm left-handed, too. I don't wonder why I'm left-handed. I just know that I am, without knowing how or why. Some things are just....they just ARE.

i disagree entirely with your op. do you give potential submissives/slaves a 20 question form to answer so you can classify which type of submissive they are to fit in what you're looking for? sorry but i don't fit in just one category ...like many personalities to me, i have many characteristics that define me as submissive.

I disagree, These categories are too narrow... I can see bits and pieces from all of them in me.. and can not apply myself to either one single one of those. And I agree with LA.. these are sound like insecurities and reasons to be a slave.. rather than a type of a slave.. (if there is such a thing) 'violet'

I don't see my pigeonhole here! What about a highly trained professional in a high stress job she loves, making excellent money, which is passed to my excellent Lady to manage because I'm pathetic at money management. My Lady makes many decisions, but very definitely we consult on anything big, and my input is honored and valued! I do work very hard to please my lady - I'm not a domestic servant, but in reality I'm usually the one doing housework because she is keeping our small farm operational and the livestock fed. I give a fabulous footrub, and I have the kind of "limited ESP" that lets me always know EXACTLY where she needs her back scratched. Yes, I defer to her decisions almost all the time - but if I feel strongly about something, I can and do advocate my view, and she encourages that. What I do not have is guilt or loads of inner trauma that I am trying to self-medicate with BDSM. I recognized probably 30 years ago that I enjoyed the sensation of being spanked or flogged or whipped and that it was a huge turn on for me. And I like being restrained for some of it so I can let go and totally focus on the sensations. And nothing turns me on faster than having my Lady come up to me while I'm working at the computer, grab a big handful of hair, pull my head back, and kiss me passionately while administering some fine-tuning to the nipples. Well, except when she orders me to kneel and starts to take her belt off... (smiles wickedly). The point being, a submissive is NOT a "broken person", or an "incomplete person". The value of my submission is because I am a strong, capable, functional person, intelligent, witty, and so on. It's a gift I offer up to my Lady, and one she knows how to value.

I don't think type 4 subs nessessarily have low self confidence. I would love to be shared by my Master and would willingly be humiliated in public (so long as it was not infont of anyone I did not want knowing I was a sub)... it's just a sexual turnon for me. My confidence is quite high.

I think also you can be a mix of all 4, or of none described there............I don't believe there is a "perfect" definition/s for a submissive as well as anyone for that matter.

Well i can't say i like to go into a list and make a checkmark in a box stating "YES that's exactly who i am!" I am, as i am sure all of you are, a complicated individual, with positive and negative traits. I am unique, with my own upbringing, needs, fetishes, likes and dislikes and so checkmarking a box doesn't exactly suit me. I am "submissive" naturally, vanilla, or i guess you can call this super polite. I let women go before me in bus lines, waiting lines, etc. I tend to open doors for Women, pull chairs, talk quietly, politely, respectfully. You can call it being a polite human being, but i do NOT do whatever ppl tell me, or submit to the first calling Him/Herself Domme, and certainly no doormat. I'm just ME..take it or leave it (lots more leaving it! lol) but there you have it. I'm an individual and so i have good and bad sides to me, as does everyone else in this wonderful world we call Earth. Ya'll have a good one

Classifications are usually someones attempts to fit things into their world through logic. It really doesn't work. The world is not neat little boxes and jars where everything fits in. The world is a chaotic swirl. When meeting women, if you try and make it simple, you will be surprised and most likely lose her because a woman is complex, mysterious and wonderful. Why try to understand them. I prefer to take them, enjoy them, cherish them and enjoy the mystery.

I'd have to say that those four categories are quite probably, and there must be a lot of subs that fit them. But I don't. I want to talk care of my someone special, tend their needs, please them, belong to them, and let them care for and about me in return. But I don't fit any of those stereotypes. My upbringing was very relaxed, and liberal, but still had structure and rules and punishments, etc. I don't have a lot of stress in my life. Pain is fun at the right times, but I'm not a masochist (at least I don't think so). And I am not fond of humiliation to the point of active dislike. So where would that leave me?
