Status: offline 		i read the thread on evolution, and thought, wouldn't the religious right be proud. Here we are, setting aside valuable time and energy when we could be talking about sexual matters to discuss a controversial subject that per force, people cannot agree on.

What fun!

So i am suggesting a few more, for even more deviation from sexual matters. With luck, some of us will forget BDSM altogether and join Think Tanks.

No. 1 Abortion -- and please men, chime in; we women love hearing you tell us what to do.

No. 2 The Death Penalty -- are we killing too fast? Too slow? Or just right?


No. 3 Privatizing Social Security -- why not let Wall Street pick the pockets of the elderly? Why should gang members have all the fun?

Please feel free to contribute any other nonsexual, completely unresolvable issues to this thread; i'm off to see if sex was discussed here today at all.

I know from experience that deciding to have an abortion is not an easy decision. It is usually followed with some depression. I wish no woman ever had to be faced with the choice, but in some cases, having an abortion is the right choice. Of course, all necessary precautions need to be taken in order to minimise the risks of even having to make the choice.

My country does not have death penalty. I think that is a good thing.

My country has a decent safety net - and it public social security. Not an excellent one. Definitely far from being the worst one.

abortion? since i have never gotten anyone preganant, and can't. but ok,...i believe take every case one by one.
death penalty?
why not empty out the prisons? if they are supposed to be sentenced to die,.,.DO IT! otherwise, if they are not, make em do something FOR society.!!!!!!!!
wouldn't no one give ME a free ride, why should they get one?
social security?
oh boy. i am not sure what is proper here, but i feel ole uncle sam is doing a shit job of it.

Speaking in relation to size does the Universe go on forever? And if it does stop Whats on the other side?

My feelings on these topics are.
1. Abortion should be your own moral issue. Because regardless what any of us think it is going to happen. It can either happen legally or illegally killing more people.

2. Not fast enough. The punishment should suit the crime. Why should I have to pay for people on death row the rest of my life? If there is no shadow of a doubt someone committed the crime just get it over with.

3. I am fully aware people like George Bush are going to take away any money I have contributed to social security by the time I am of that age.
I say people need to start looking out for themselves and consider the government a waste of time. Less disappointed people that way. As long as inflation stops where it is right now...I can retire quite nicely. Never hacing a care in the world...although nobody is going to stop inflation so I have to continue working. Such is life...

I believe they teach you in the military it must hang over the top of the roll and be flagged as well.

Sounds like you are frustrated. But this is an "Off Topic" forum to facilitate discussion about things that are "Off Topic", or *not* about BDSM. If you prefer to stick to the other areas, that is your right.
