I'm sorry, but I just see the whole post, as eloquently put as it is, the OP's last word in the matter.. public word nevertheless. It's not a blame, for the OP is also a human being and many of us would often like to have the last word in... but some of us just wave a hand and brush it off as 'not worth it'.

There are many people, unfortunately, who are vindictive - (it's a personality trait), persistent (another one) and not respectful of other's... And those traits are shown in many different ways, from plain and clear aggressiveness... to polite-subtle ways.

If you really want to end it... just - move - on... because continuing the issue just shows that you can't let go.

Just my two cents.

'violet'

P.S. If I understood correctly about the comment "I'd like to thank collarchat for providing a block feature in the discussion groups, and thank those of you who encouraged me and who also pointed this feature out to me.
You were right: it -does- improve the quality of a discussion. "

I just have to say... Why open a thread if all you want to hear is people agreeing with you.... and block those who don't. Defeats the purpose I think, unless all you are looking for is sympathy in your situation.

I can do the one eyebrow thing...like Mr. Spock...does that count?

Thank you, that's an excellent example :-)

You may also recall McCoy did it quite often as well.

I suppose I should explain the other one: (O.O)

This has two distinct meanings, depending upon context.

The first is wide-eyed shock.

The second is the attentive little child who has asked you a question and is looking up to you waiting for an answer.

I try to make it clear which usage is intended.

To the OP ...

There are always three sides to every story.  Your side, her side and the truth.  All you have given us is your side.  Your side smacks of passive-aggressiveness, undeserved ego and a concerted lack of maturity.

It doesn't get any better on a rainy, Sunday morning than to read a public anouncement of a blocking.  Everyone with any sense knows that Aileen is a pure betch!

My day is complete.  I think all of my posts here should be quoted so that bobkin can see them that way...kinda like bypassing a block.

Will doing this get me in the Betch Club?

I don't frequent the chatrooms, so I cannot speak for them.

I saw it in a discussion group, the first time was probably over a decade ago.

It is uncommon to rare, but not unheard of.

Most people use the ":-)" or ";-)" type of emoticons. But I find this one more useful in certain situations.

O.o = One eye bigger than the other expression. Used when someone says something that causes the other to raise an eyebrow.

I have answered this twice, posted, and lost the response because the answer wouldn't go through. If this works I'll edit and repost.

Stand-by.

Ok, on edit:

I think you misunderstand my motive for posting this topic. Were I prone to post whenever I experience a set-back or the like, I'd be here much more often ;-)

We hear a lot about the plight of sub/slaves in the hands of maladjusted doms/masters, but almost never do we hear anything about the problems a dom/master faces with a maladjusted sub/slave.

I think if raising this topic gives food for thought for those at risk it will be a useful contribution to the community.

As for the block, I don't know what assumptions you are making to believe I only seek agreement, or consider any disagreement over a point to be a waste of my time.

I prefer discussions involving mature individuals, and would prefer to waste as little time as possible on the immature.

And so you know, for me maturity is a degree of mental development, not the number of times you've gone around the sun.

Some people just can't handle serious adult conversation.

whoops, hoo boy, now I've edited out my answer.

Let's see: oh yes, add brackets (O.o)

And feel free to use other symbols: (*.*)

or motion: (*.* ) (*.*) ( *.*)

Enjoy.

The Wiccans use a similar symbol for the "Maid, Mother, Crone":

)O(  or  )o(

This is first-quarter moon, full moon, and third-quarter moon.

:-)

It was benign enough.

I was answering your post the first time when they switched the topic to a new category. I suppose the pointers were wrong and so the answer didn't go through. When I went to answer this a second time, I think I still had the window open for your post from the previous catagory, so the same result occurred.

Third time I selected your post from this catagory, and all is well.
