~fr~ While I'll admit to being prone to analyze at times (I'm an engineer, so sue me), there's one thing that yanks my chain even more. People who attempt to treat what they have pegged as your problems (usually with outdated Freudian psychoanalysis to top it off) without any idea what they are doing, using a mix of BDSM and some obscure misinterpretation of psychotherapy. Some years ago, talking to another Dom about play (yes, mutual disclosure, open relationship, all of that), my nephandi ran into a guy who, upon hearing of her anxiety problems, immediately started trying to push her into letting him "treat" it, all the while playing mind games and a million other "little" things that- in total- made my spider sense crawl under the shower and down the drain to rest. I'm not adverse to using elements of cognitive behavioural therapy and/or dialectic behavioural therapy in a D/s or M/s relationship, provided the D/M is qualified (or at least knows their limits), but some people are just psychiatric clusterfucks waiting to get hold of a victim... er... patient... er... sub... whatever. That said, if I ever go Kung-Freud on someone, feel free to swap "sue me" for "bludgeon me". I'm sure it's damn annoying.
