Curious Lord's other thread got me "to thinking" and I thought it might be interesting to hear people's opinions of what they think "Heaven" might be like.
I don't think it's all about a bunch of Saints sitting in gold chairs looking down on us poor souls.
And maybe God doesn't just sit around in a big chair scaring people.
(Would you if you were God?)
I think he probably walks among his people like a manager; " Do you like the view?" "How about the Open Bar?" "Nice touch that "no hangovers" stuff, eh?
"Yeah, thanks God and when I fall down it doesn't even hurt!"
I watched a program about "near death" experiences and this little girl who was on the program claims that there are all different colors in heaven that on earth.
Whatever, but I hope they have some type of "pleasures of the flesh" there.
"So God, do you know the Devil?"
"Yeah, we went to school together, he's a real prick!"
"Don't ever play cards with him!"
"Oh, and you don't have to go to Church anymore."

Probably only a slight upgrade from hell...

I mean what do you do up there in heaven? Play cards with Jesus for eternity?

That sounds great until you think heaven is supposed to for eternity. Even the greatest pleasures are boring if they are routine.

Well, you'd have to mix it up a bit Meat.
You know, horseback riding, going to the pub, threesomes with "10's" no "100's" women, firing machine guns.
And orgasms that last as long as you want!
"Hey Charlie, I'll see you in about a month I'm going on "orgasm mode" for 30 days starting next tuesday."
"Oh, I just got off "orgasm mode" it's great and you wouldn't believe the women!"

hunting is never routine....no two hunts are ever the same...and if you get tired of stalking deer, you could try the 4' tall turkeys, or the 800lb wild boar......or you could just relax with a 12 pack in your stellar bass boat on the open river, hauling in large mouth bass day after day! And women, women never really get routine either....no two of them are the same either.....

oh..and none of us would have stretch marks or buttzits either...and our tits would no longer succomb to gravity..and the post labor hemmroids would magically dissappear....and dicks would be able to change shape and size, so they are always perfect for both vaginal and anal sex.......

Ghita, a 12 pack?
Make it a case, no hangovers in Heaven!
Hey, I like that about dicks being able to change shape and size!

I thought Heaven was lounging on a cloud eating fat free cream cheese and bagels.

I believe that Heaven and Hell are a state of mind.  When Death releases the soul from the body, you go into a state of total awareness in which you review your life, resulting in your own self-judgment.  You rest a bit and decide if you want to do it all again, but better.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately-   I have had two people die in the last week that were very close to me and one is "pending"

Heaven:
A nice big comfy gated property where you can view the ocean during the day as well as the sparking lights of the city at night. A private secluded back yard with a hot tub and pool. Lots of room to have frequent parties with good friends. A small dungeon room to play. Most important - sexy tall redheaded slave to share it all.

Hell:
Needing to leave it daily to run a business to pay for it all.

I honestly do not believe in heaven or hell as our modern day christianity would lead us to believe in.

..didn't someone once say, in reply to being asked whether they'd prefer heaven to hell,  "heaven for the climate, hell for the company"?

In heaven theres a big screen where you get to watch what goes on with earth. Some days its a laugh to watch, other days you'll have a big cry.

What do I think Heaven is really like?

I would have to liken it to my most content, happiest, serene, and peaceful days that I have so far spent here on earth. Even though I am pretty religious, I truly believe that Heaven is just pure contentment, serenity, and peace; more of a feeling that is within than something that may be a 'place' ( as most seem to use to define it ).

And because everyone describes feelings differently, I believe that Heaven would 'feel' differently to everyone.

Just my opinion though.

Through-out my life, I've run the gambit; from being raised a Traditional Catholic to being a pretty good card-carrying Atheist.

There were times, in my life when I believed that "Heaven" was nothing more  than "sitting and basking in the 'Divine Glow'". There were times when I believed that, when we die, our souls go to a garage in Cleveland (talk about 'Hell'? An eternity spent in the "mistake on the lake"?).

Now, being a quasi-Christian cum Neo-Gnostic/Pagan, I like to think that "Heaven" is kind of a "happy medium". I want to know all the mysteries of life that I believe I can't FULLY know, here. I want to be able to "chill out" and do some of the things I enjoy doing.

I, also, want to know that my loved-ones, left behind, are doing well and the ones who've gone on before me have been as happy as is possible.

Peace and comfort,

Michael

Being an eternal slave for one of the women here on CM. Or maybe being a slave forever for a number of them. Would always be a new esperience to be had.
