Peaceful with lots of good things -this would be subjective- and one likes all the colours, tastes, feelings-everything feels *good* and there is a very kickass hot tub. And I forever look like I'm in my mid 20's.

And I agree w. Satyr6406 who said something like we could find our loved friends and we knew the ones we left on Earth were happy and doing well (and they really were too). I'd add on we had out 4legged critters w. us too.

Heaven's probably a boring place with nothing to do for all eternity...I'd rather spend eternity in Limbo...as long as the pole's not too low to get under...LOL

The heaven you ask of is not correctly defined as a place but as a state of being or not...according to your religious faith. Various faiths hold that it does not exist. Those who have no religious faith may feel that there is no heaven at all. Many are among those who feel that heaven to the extent it does exist...will exist in their own minds and will reep the plant of heaven according the seeds one sows in their own imagination.

Meanwhile I concentrate on creating a certain heaven on earth...right here.

This must be heaven
Last station on the line
You must be the angel
I thought I might never find
Was it you I heard singing
Oh when I was chasing dreams
Driven on the wind
Like the dust that blows around
And the rain fallin' down

I never know now
Just don't ever know, no, no

Got to be heaven
'Cause here's where the rainbow ends
And if this ain't the real thing
Well it's close enough to pretend

When that wind blows
And the night's about to fall
I can hear the siren's call
It's a certain sort of sound
And the rain fallin' down
Rain fallin' down
Rain falling down now
Rain falling down now
Rain falling down

Holes in what's left of my reason
Holes in the knees of my blues
Odds against me been increasing
But I'll pull through

Never could read no road-map
No I don't know what the weather might do
But hear that witch wind whining
See that dog star shining
I got a feelin' there's no time to lose
No time to lose

I never know, no, no
Just don't ever know
Never know, no

Well it's been heaven
But even rainbows will end
Now my sails are filling
The wind is willing
And I'm good as gone again
I'm still walkin'
So I'm sure that I can dance
Just a saint of circumstance
Just a tiger in a trance
And the rain fallin' down
Rain falling down
Rain falling down
Rain falling down
Rain falling down

Well I never know now
Just don't ever know, no, no
Sure don't know what I'm goin' for
But I'm gonna go for it for sure
Sure don't know what I'm goin' for
But I'm gonna go for it for sure
Listen
Sure don't know what I'm goin' for
But I'm gonna go for it for sure
Hey
Sure don't know what I'm goin' for
Maybe just going on a dream now
But I'm gonna go for it for sure
Hey, ya
Sure don't know what I'm goin' for
Well I just don't know, [and I'm the same]
But I'm gonna go for it for sure
I just go for it for sure now
Listen
Sure don't know what I'm goin' for
Make [?], that's what I say now
But I'm gonna go for it for sure
Gotta go, go, go for sure
Sure don't know what I'm goin' for
[falsetto] Maybe going on a dream now
But I'm gonna go for it for sure
[falsetto] Maybe going on a dream, dream

What is heaven like?

This is your heaven and it is as good as you make it, so make the most of it. If you are invited to an after party you didn’t know existed then that’s just a bonus in my book.

Heaven is yet another myth created centuries ago as a means of controlling the mass population and keep them fearing the unknown.

I believe that Heaven and Hell are a state of mind.  When Death releases the soul from the body, you go into a state of total awareness in which you review your life, resulting in your own self-judgment.  You rest a bit and decide if you want to do it all again, but better.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately-   I have had two people die in the last week that were very close to me and one is "pending"

Sorry to hear about your recent losses and the one pending, that has to be rough loosing three close people in such a short span of time. Death is harder on the surviving then it is on the dying, imo anyway.  i agree with you about heaven and hell being a state of mind - when we die we become aware, and all our past lives are remembered and we then choose to come back, and what kind of life we are going to live depending on what we think we need to learn, all based on karma, that's my belief anyway.

Mark Twain said, "No man is happy unless he is in his own heaven" I believe that when we die that we go to a place that is fashioned by our hopes and dreams. It is diffrent for every single individual.

If you ever saw the pilot episode of Star Trek DS9 when they go through the worm hole the first time they land on a planet. Kira Sees the planet as green and a paradise. Because Sisko is carrying aroud hatred all he sees the planet as is barren and hellish.

That has to be heaven, diffrent based on how we see our lives

Heaven is a place where you walk through the front door, down the corridor and into a massive room with 12 doors; behind each door is a woman strapped to a table on her back: you have all the time in the world to entertain yourself. In each room, there is another door, and there's beer and weed on tap in each of those rooms.......there are doors in those rooms, too, and behind those doors there are women cooking the most amazing food with ingredients from all over the world, all for you...........and behind those rooms are famous people from history for your conversation and amusement (Hitler and Stalin are sucking each other off in what at first sight appears to be an act of penance, but over the course of your stay in heaven, it transpires they have fallen in love).....behind those rooms are more rooms and these have time machines for you to transport yourself back in time...and then there's more rooms behind those with your favourite comedians to amuse you...then there's...you get the picture....

Edited to add: there must be a way to build this paradise on earth.

I think Heaven will be like this:

*Like here, except the temp is always in the low 70's and it never rains, and is always sunny. The flowers and plants are more colorful, and none of the animals are predators (even if on Earth, they were predators). There are no nasty mosquitos, or other insects. Snakes and spiders are not venomous and don't bite - they are totallly non-threatening. All of the animals get along with eachother.

*Everyone you ever met in your life who has died, that you loved (or even liked for a little while) is there, and you can visit them, and talk to them, any time you like, and they are always glad to see you. So are all of the pets you had that you loved.

*You look the best you ever looked in your life-time on Earth - if you were looking your best-ever in your mid-30's, for instance, then that is what you look like, forever. You have no health problems - if you had some physical problem in life, like a disease or a disability, it is just gone and no longer bothers you at all, or interferes with your happiness.

*You can imagine something wonderful, and it just happens - like having an amazing sexual partner, or being in blissful love, and the other person loves you back the same amount you love them. The sex is amazingly fulfilling, and lasts for what seems like days on end. People can be in two places at the same time, (or more).

*If you want to be in another location or environment, like you want to go from being surrounded by palm trees and ocean (like Hawaii) to a place where there are mountains, you just think about it, and it happens. The same is true for where you spend a lot of your time (your home) - if you want it decorated a certain way, you just imagine it that way, and it just happens instantly.

*You don't have to eat (or drink) anything, but you can if you want to do that, and all you need to do is imagine your favorite meal, and it appears before you - or, you can cook it yourself, if you enjoy cooking. If you over-indulge in food or drink, there are no repercussions like getting fat, or having a hangover.

*You don't have to bother to change your clothes, because you can just imagine what you want to be wearing (or not), and it just happens automatically.

*It doesn't take any time at all really, to get from one place to another. You just close your eyes, or imagine being in another place, or location, and you are there.

*Everyone is nice to eachother, and there is no fighting. People love socializing and partying, and do it a lot, but also those who enjoy solitary pursuits, like reading or drawing (or whatever) have plenty of time to enjoy that. If there is something you always wanted to be good at in life, but never were (like dancing or singing, or brain surgery or whatever) then suddenly, you are amazingly talented at doing it.

You are happy all the time, and everyone has a good sense of humor, and you get to see God.

- Susan

They say in heaven that love comes first so what I am asking is; who made heaven a place on earth. Oh baby yes indeed heaven is a place on earth.
