Slapping for me is horrible. I can't even imagine why anyone would like it, but to each his or her own. Slapping is a huge insult. I'd rather be punched, to be honest. Where my mother comes from, you get in a fight if someone punches you. If they slap you, you might kill them. It's like spitting on their face. If a dom slapped me without permission--which they'd never get-- I'd hit them right back.

For myself, if i liked it, there would be no connection to discipline, punishment or correction. i can see such used in those aspects, but as with all things in a relationship, there should be understanding of the use and allowance of face slapping in the context of agreement. i do not believe it should be done to cause intentional damage. If it is done without provocation or invitation, expect the unexpected. chia* (the pet)

I've never been a fan of Face-slapping either. It just strikes me as a bit brutal (no pun intended). I guess I understand more how men might enjoy it coming from a Domme (or a femsub, God forbid) than a man doing it to a female. I admit my predjudice here is probably due to my my upbringing. I am also not convinced that there couldn't be some kind of severe un-intentional damage done to my face, no matter how "practiced" the slapper claimed to be. It just plain worries me. Nobody's ever done it to me as a "kink" and it's not a "Hard Limit" but it is definitely a "soft limit" for me. - Susan

I don't like slapping, i can tolerate a little VERY light smack with the hand or cock when i am giving head. But straight out slapping, it's too close to abuse. Besides, doesn't a nice cherry red bottom just look and feel so wonerful?

[/quote] LOL I don't understand why slapping someone in the face is even part of what people do in BDSM. Not being a jerk, here, just really would like to understand. I agree with all of those who liken it to abuse. What is the point of it? Ok, so I could you could say that spanking or paddling or flogging is like abuse, but those are not the same to me as slapping a person in the FACE. Flogging and some other forms of impact on the back of the body stimulate nerve endings which release chemicals which in turn release emotions (learned that from my chiropractor), so I can understand why those things feel so good. And hitting the face in any way simply seems mean. It's all interesting....

A proper full-on face slap would just rile me and ruin the session. But I think there's a place for a soft slap on the cheek occasionally, when the Dom(me) wants your attention. i never had been slapped. a friend stated she couldnt understand why i would like to be slapped around. i brought it up to Master who hadnt done it yet. . i told Him it was something i wouldnt like...so He slapped me. culturally face slapping shows disrespect and that the person is worthless. Master used it to show His dominance over me. it has turned out to be great. when He slaps me there's no doubt in my mind who owns me. any one else would be in for a good old time kick 'em when they're down dirty fight. but He owns me and will do what He will do to His slave.
