Would you call a person "looking" at your profile on a daily basis to the point where that persons SN is always at the top or in the top three of the "Who's viewing me" list a form of stalking?

We are talking every single day maybe even several times a day. Even when your are not posting or bloging.  It is becoming very clear that they want you to know that they are constantly looking at you. It is pretty creepy right?

My thought is that if it is not stalking it is pretty close.


I will confess to looking at the same profiles repeatedly, but that is usually in reply to "The Person Above Me Thread"; gotta perv them to know what is relevant to say about them, right? And, since I have Old Timer's disease, I gotta look each time. *sighs*

Though there is one guy, I will admit, who is so kooky, that I regularly check his profile just to see if any of his outlandish stuff has changed. That is not stalking, I think.......just morbid curiosity.

Status: offline 		.. i don't notice who looks at my profile.. its usually someone on here.. that's either curious about meh after having read something i said.. or i perved their profile and am perving meh back..

and i really don't pay attention to who's at the top of the list of who's looked at my profile.. some dude did subscirbe to my joural.. dunno who it is tho....

I figure pink is for the females, but I have no idea what the red ones are, or why some are dark blue and others are light blue. Anyone know?
In response to the original questions... I also love to people watch. So if I view a profile, it is usually out of curiousity. Usually, I read a post that interests me, and I want to learn more about that person, not always because I wish to contact them, but because I am curious, and I like to learn about the likes and dislikes of all kinds of people. As for people who show up on my list but dont contact me? I  assume that they are merely curious.

Yeah and I think what you describe is not uncommon but...

My person is constantly either one or two and another one is always in the top three not matter when I log on, they are always always in striking distance of either the first spot on the list or first itself.

Status: offline 		If you hover your mouse over their screen name then you can get the information. Dark blue is male dom or master,  pink is female submissive or slave etc.

Why would a moderater view a profile?  EEEEEK!  I don't know what I did, but Mod 11 peeked at me.  Mod 11, if you're reading this, I'm innocent!  Just check out my screen name!

Serious, though, I don't want to have done anything wrong; my profile has been the same forever, my journal entries pretty mundane, so what does it mean?

On the subject....  I like to read people's journal entries if I view their profiles.  They just give more insight to the person- or at least what the person purports themselves to be on here.

Pink is a sub female. Red is a domme.
Light blue is a sub male, dark blue a dom.

Those are the main ones.

1. They looked at me first
2. They said something really witty in a forum and I would like to see if they have posted anything else entertaining in their profile

4. I felt like it, why have em if you don't want anyone to see them

"What do you do when you see someone's name appear on the "Who's Viewing Me" list?"
1. I go read their profile including their entire journal
2. I more often than not will send them a friendly email to say hello, I have made some friends here from that simple gesture that I would not have made otherwise.

As far as what do do about it...nothing. I wouldn't worry over it for a second. You say most have never sent you an email, perhaps they were hoping you would notice them noticing you and then you would email them. It costs me nothing to send a friendly note and they are free to respond to it as they see fit, it causes me no pain if it is ignored or even flamed back at me.

Hey Laurell, we could always make up profiles for the Mods!  Of course they might not like that...  I wonder if any Mods are submissives?

Status: offline 		You know what's funny though? I didn't realize they actually read all of this junk, but given the response time that mod 11 replies to any statements about him/her in, it seems they do.  Now I feel sorry for them, that's one form of punishment I wouldn't want to have!

Status: offline 		i made a journal entry on my profile a few years ago that was similar to this. It was before they had the "Who's Viewing Me" option. What i was referring to was my admirers list. It is pretty long and most of the people on it have NEVER contacted me.
 
i can understand people viewing a profile to see what the person is about and looking for and if there is no interest, not making contact. But, to look at a profile, add the person as a favorite and never contact them? WHY???
