Hell, if someone wanted "a submissive to collar" I'd be steering clear of him too. I don't know... it's some silly thing about wanting to be wanted or desired for me - not just because I'm some generic submissive that can be found at Submissives R Us on the lower shelf (where all the generic brands always are). That's someone I'd say is not ready to offer a collar because in my view - in relation to what I'd be looking for in a dominant, he has no concept of what a collar is. In essence, he's not ready to collar.
By the same token, if a submissive is so hot to trot for a collar that she places the collar quest before the man she's serving, I'd be happy to say she's not ready - regardless if I'm another submissive or a dominant. Not ready can mean having priorities in the wrong place for a relationship someone is seeking - not just that they're sanctamonious and shifting blame.
