I think its very possible to be a sub and have a lead role at work. I dont think that would make a person a switch. I think what makes a person a switch is taking on and enjoying being a alpha or domme. In this case Aly enjoys taking advantage of those she feels she can domme.

Isnt dominating other slaves a switch? You can be an alpha slave, but you are dominating others. I am only sub to my dom. But I am domme to most others. I can tell you right now, I am not an alpha slave by anymeans. I choose what I want to do to make him happy.

In your case you only do things to get what you want. Thats not even being submissive. Thats doing the bare min to make yourself happy. If it makes the other person happy, great. But I think you only worry about what you can get out of it. Am I wrong? Of course I am because you dont like me. lol

I find myself in an alpha role at work and in many situations.

Perhaps this means I'm not an (insert label here) but I like being made to submit.

For an amazingly oversimplified example, I would never throw a grappling match, but losing a real match would make me feel amazingly good.

Does that make any sense?

That I prefer my submission be taken, that I am serving my better in a demonstrated sense?

I do think if you want to take this to a personal level, then you need to take it off the boards and onto a private e-mail. No one here really cares how you personally feel about me. And I dont want this to take away from the topic.

Well since the post is about me and what I said, (anyone can figure that one out) I have a right to say something, and you will not have your way with me. You want people to say I am wrong and you are right, and you are willing to twist and lie to get them to agree with you and choose sides. ITs stupid! Knock it off!

Love the double standards yet again! Maybe you should have taken it privately instead of posting an undermining post directed purposely at me with a little sugar coating. So if you dont want to be confronted dont start it. :) I can read between the lines just as well as everyone else and if you want to slander someone, dont expect them to allow it.

If you have a proble with me, then deal with me. Quit hiding behind everyone else on the boards to tell you its ok to be abusive and slanderous towards me and who ever else you want to victimize next. Thats how you were here and thats how you are everywhere else.

It is not crazy and yes, I feel that way. It is not mutually exclusive to be alpha and submissive.

Hi Luci :)

For me, personality has NOTHING to do with relationship orientation. You can be ANY personality with ANY orientation.

Now, a lot of people have problems when they have X personality, and are placed in a situation which requires Y personality. I have this problem in social mixer events- I do NOT have a social mixer type personality and I feel really uncomfy there.

What on earth does that have to do with being vanilla or not vanilla? Nothing at all.

However, a lot of people (specially if they have personalities which stereotypically align with their orientation) try to universalize their personality and suggest that "subs express their personalities like THIS"

Of course, when they don't feel COMFY doing "this" or are placed into situations where "this" isn't appropriate- all sorts of problems come up. As so well noted in this thread.

The thing to do is eliminate the false idea that "subs express their personalities like THIS." There is no "sub personality" and there is no personality which will work well in every situation.
