ownedslavebitch -> How far would you travel or allow someone to travel to serve or be served? (10/7/2007 7:56:14 PM)

Hello all my lifestyle friends I know this is probably not a good topic but I just wanted other Dom/Domme and sub/slaves input on this to give me a better prospective on my feelings on this . I know each person is different and me personally 250 miles is the furthest I have travelled thank you all as usual I know you will be honest and truthful with me .

I've travelled 100 miles to someone and the furthest someone came to me was 200.  I'm not into absolutes (OK, I'm no good with absolutes) ... while it's unlikely t happen , it's possible that I could get on a plane or vice versa to meet someone.

I honestly couldn't see myself hopping on a plane to meet someone I had only talked to online or by phone. I'd be pretty disappointed if I spent several hundred dollars traveling to meet someone and they weren't what I expected.

I refuse people for more than a 15min drive...but I'm an instant gratification kind of gal...[:D]

I have had submissives travel to me ranging from 25 miles to 1000 or more miles; if they chose to come they are more than welcome.  As far as my travelling is concerned; my accomodations must be paid for by the submissive no matter the destination.

Distance seems to be the theme here.

I flew from Michigan to California the first time I met someone more than 2 hours drive away.  It was a disaster; fake photos, the woman was hideous, and wanted to cheat on her fiance with me.

I flew from Ohio to Santiago, Chile; the relationship didn't work out at all, but at least I'd seen her on webcam to know at least she looked like what I expected.  I stayed in Chile three years, and am glad I went.

Recently, I flew from Texas to California and am beyond content.

So, the answer is 'usually it doesn't work, but sometimes it can be great.'

I am a wanderlust and a jet setter, it doesn't take a whole hell of a lot of convincing to get me to step onto a bus or a plane. I generally don't go places for people, however, mostly because I want to go to an event or just experience a new place... people happen to be a lovely side effect, and I usually have friends to meet up with as well in case whoever I'm going to meet doesn't turn out so well. If we end up hitting it off and play, that's sprinkles on top of the icing on the cake.

My most recent trip was from SW Ohio to California (all bloody over Cali, started in LA ended in SF). It was worth every second, though I could have done without the jet lag. [:'(]

In st louis, any trip more than 20 minutes is long distance.

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: How far would you travel or allow someone to travel to serve or be served? (10/7/2007 8:38:39 PM)

Distance really isn't relevant to me.

Money, time available, danger issues, desire, all that practical stuff is more important.

I love to travel-I am in San Jose for an extreme enema session right now, flew in from Phila, who picks up the tab should be more than obvious.  I have had boys fly from Fla, Chi., drive from Detroit, I have gone to Aruba, Florida, Napa, Arizona and Pittsburgh to enjoy time with a boy-I am a road dog.  Would I relocate? It would have to be paradise with a very special someone........ Btw going to Paris at the end of the month-anyone else going who wants to play?

MrScorpio28 -> RE: How far would you travel or allow someone to travel to serve or be served? (10/7/2007 9:55:50 PM)

For myself, I would go almost anywhere if the connection felt right. I tend to be a pretty good judge of if it feels like it's going to work or not. If I have the slightest hesitation, I wouldn't go. I'm always looking for a reason to travel though.

The thing is, these days (as someone else mentioned), it's more about if I have the time to go.... it would be far easier for me to play host for a few days at this point and time in my life.

LadyPact -> RE: How far would you travel or allow someone to travel to serve or be served? (10/7/2007 10:08:00 PM)

It depends on the situation.  For an established dynamic, I've been known to do the travelling.  Still, I'll never forget the sub who drove for three hours at night in the rain, just to spend time with Me.

YourhandMyAss -> RE: How far would you travel or allow someone to travel to serve or be served? (10/7/2007 10:18:24 PM)

I won't travel any more, if they want to meet they can just come here. Or I MIGHT meet them in their home town if there's something already pre exsisting I want to do. Like newyork for instance, I want to see bronz zoo and brooklyn parks so if I happen to want to come anyway and you happen to want to meet, then maybe it might be arrangable.

I love to travel and when I recently came within 600 miles of a good friend, I hopped aboard a plane after finding cheap airfare and stayed for 4 days.  We hung out and chatted, played and visited places.  I don't regret it at all, and he is someone I trust implicitly.

I'd only do that again if I trusted them as much as I did him, knew that I was attracted to him, and it worked out with time and money.

EvilGenie -> RE: How far would you travel or allow someone to travel to serve or be served? (10/7/2007 10:35:01 PM)

17 October 2006, mine found me online one night when I was quite ill and suffering from depression. In the beginning I didn't want much to do with it for many reasons. I had just returned a few months prior from living in Morocco and he was from a town not far from the city in which I lived. 6 years before this I had gone to the UK where I lived for 4 years before moving on to Morocco. We discovered we knew mutual people here in the US.

Well, 20 May 2007 I made the 5,000 mile trip back and we were married in lavish Moroccan fashion on 15 June 2007. I am back in the US now, we'd hoped for a visa for him but he has a huge amount of family in Spain and he is going there. So, I will be hopping that plane again for Spain the end of January.

How far would I travel? I suppose the answer used to be up to 5,000 miles.

Be Well,

EG

I've crossed state and country lines to meet people I loved, and who loved me, though we didn't really know each other. Distance is so trivial in the modern world. I tend to think without it.
[A very large failure practically, at times.]
But for servitude? No. Not for something so trivial. I would never meet someone I didn't trust, and one's trust is honed over time. Once bitten...

i live in san antonio....furthest i've travelled so far was Phoenix....relationship didn't work out...but i was safe...Austin is an hour and a half drive away but thats a drive i would make on a whim so no big deal to me to go there to meet someone at a munch or something...i did it just last month...if only she had stayed her ass put while i finished eating so i could talk to her for a few minutes (totally non-relationship related lol) *glares playfully up several posts*

searching4moreak -> RE: How far would you travel or allow someone to travel to serve or be served? (10/7/2007 11:06:27 PM)

Granted I live in alaska but im not flying to be with someone unless there is serious possibilites of a viable long term commitment well unless they live somewhere tropical this girl could use a warm vacation...... On a serious side i wouldnt travel to meet someone out of state unless I felt that if the situation was right they would consider relocation. Granted I live in a large state I can easily drive 6 hours to go fishing i can probably do 6 hours to meet someone. and 6 hours shows intent.

obis -> RE: How far would you travel or allow someone to travel to serve or be served? (10/7/2007 11:26:46 PM)

I drove to the south side of town for one girl. Pretty much beyond that, I expect delivery.
