BitaTruble -> Wanted: Criminal Minds (10/9/2007 12:06:24 PM)

Himself and I are planning a mock trial (maybe.. hehe). I'm looking for some creative/imaginative 'crimes'. Here's the scoop.

I have 30 days to commit my 'crime'. It has to be a felony of some sort and it has to be obvious to the observant. (Himself has an extensive Mickey Mantle collection but he rarely checks it as it's all put away, so it wouldn't be 'obvious' if I robbed him of it. I could rob him of his chain mail tools, but he uses those every day so wouldn't have to be observant to know I had robbed him.)

Once I commit my crime, Himself has 30 days to catch me. If he fails to catch me or notice that a crime has taken place, I'm off the hook and the statute of limitations will have run out. If I get away with the first crime, I get to commit another one. I am to be rewarded by every successful crime I commit. [:D] If, however, he catches me, then I'll be put on trial. No jury here, he'll be the judge, but I will be allowed to defend myself and it's his job to 'prove' that I'm guilty. I'm allowed to recruit accomplices if I desire.

So, what I'm looking for are felonies that I can commit. I'm leaning towards some sort of robbery crime, but haven't ruled out grand theft auto (of the collectible Hot Wheels variety). If he catches me, he has to issue himself a subpeona and can search my person and possessions (purses, coat pockets etc) to seek out evidence to use against me. If convicted, then I have to suffer the consequences of my crime. I'm not planning on getting caught. [;)]

So, are there any criminally minded characters out there that can help me out?

Oh, I've discarded the idea of kidnapping him because that's going to get me caught for sure! I loved the idea, but I want that reward and I'd really like 'not' to get caught at my crimes.

Himself has agreed not to read this thread, so feel free to throw out any ideas. I'd appreciate them plus, if I use an idea from one of you, I can claim you're the brains behind the operation and maybe that will lessen my sentence if I get caught. [;)]

Celeste

PS: Even a list of felonies would be helpful since I'm not really 'up' on what is or is not a felony! ::laughs::

do you do the checkbook?

DiurnalVampire -> RE: Wanted: Criminal Minds (10/9/2007 12:12:55 PM)

Are we hoping to start very small, or are you looking to go gung ho for your first offense.
I know when I was in a class in school, and we were discusing observation and peoples abilities... we had to do something like this. And see IF the crime was noticed.
I stole my father's favorite keychain. Right off the keys he uses every single day. He carried them around withhim for the entre 2 week period we were supposed to see if we'd get caught.. and even though he handled the keys EVERY day, he never noticed it was missing.
Not sure if thats quite the scope of your crime...but its an idea

Yes, I do. Got an idea for me??? :)

Basically, felonies are anything that is punishible by one year or more in prison, whereas misdemeanors are anything up to a year in jail.

The FBI has a list of all the offenses (Part I and Part II) that go into more detail.  Or try looking up FBI UCR (Uniform Crime Report).

Hope that helps!

Bigger than life works. If you're going to slaughter a hog, might as well slaughter the whole thing, yanno? lol

mnottertail -> RE: Wanted: Criminal Minds (10/9/2007 12:17:47 PM)

Crimes commonly considered to be felonies include, but are not limited to: aggravated assault and/or battery, arson, burglary, embezzlement, grand theft, treason, espionage, racketeering, robbery, murder, rape, kidnapping and fraud.

burning the toast is arson, burning the potroast is a felony but can you demonstrate remorse?

take something from his wallet, that is burglary.
say something nasty about him --- who dares not call it treason?
pretend you are sick and have him wait on you.....is that not fraud?

or are we gonna have to get tougher?
Ron.

Excellent! Thank you so much giftedcurse. This was exactly the sort of information I was hoping to receive!

I love these! You've such an evil mind. Muhaz! Thank you. I love the treason one but I don't think I could bring myself to say something nasty about him. But the fraud and racketeering both have my brain going.. hmmmmmm.. [8D]

Argh - I typed out once and then it wasn't accepting replies anymore  - that is soooooo annoying...
OK... starting again...

How about bringing objects into the house that you would not be allowed, or would not usually be in possession of... akin to bringing objects through airports etc... and these could even be combined to 'build' something that could be used on you if you succeed as your reward - or against you if found on your persons for your punishment?  You could also have a time-limit... like if the object is not found by say - Nine pm... is kind of like 'getting through security'.  You would have to work on good reasons why you are carrying or having these items in your possession?

Peace

This is all about an elaborate BDSM scene so I have no idea why it got moved. I'm a bit disappointed but if the moderators think it's off topic, then so be it.

LaTigresse -> RE: Wanted: Criminal Minds (10/9/2007 12:23:45 PM)

What are some of his favourite things that are visible yet might not be missed immediately.....something that sits out in the open like a trophy or a piece of artwork? A classic car that rarely gets driven, motorcycle that is rarely ridden, etc.

willowspirit -> RE: Wanted: Criminal Minds (10/9/2007 12:24:18 PM)

Okay... I'll try again...

In a classic Shirley Temple movie, The Little Princess, in her dream sequence, there was a trial regarding the crime of Stealing a kiss. Sorta sexy in a 1940's kinda way...
Grand Larceny -- "Stealing" something more valuable...  like someone's  anal  virginity ?

tie him up- cover him with molasses- on a sunny day like today- out in the wilderness- and return to untie him in 72 hours- or 30days  or when you finally "win" ??

giftedcurse -> RE: Wanted: Criminal Minds (10/9/2007 12:25:57 PM)

You're very welcome.  I hope you don't get caught btw...

mnottertail -> RE: Wanted: Criminal Minds (10/9/2007 12:26:08 PM)

well, invite a girlfriend over and tell something personal (some cute litte gaffe) and not to his liking about him, laugh at his incompetence in the matter--------treason-----but the risk is she tells two friends and they tell two friends.....and thereby it is discoverable........so it is open.
