UsemeinTexas -> is this complaining ? (10/19/2007 8:28:30 AM)

when is mentioning the bruises and welts recieved during a session  considered complaining? If I tell my Master that he has caused deep bruises or welts , shoule I keep him updated on the condition of the deep bruises and/or welts, or should I only mention it once? Is mentioning it once considered complaining when I only want to make sure he knows that he has hurt me?

BOUNTYHUNTER -> RE: is this complaining ? (10/19/2007 8:37:17 AM)

Sounds like whining to me,I don't care about the hurt I impose except that they aren't incapacitate to serve...If a girl complained about her bruises and welts or even mention them to me would offense to me and set me think just how deep her submission was.......bounty

Rule -> RE: is this complaining ? (10/19/2007 8:40:00 AM)

Your master is responsible for your health and protection, especially since you are a slave. That is not to say that he cannot torture you (in your interest), but he may do so only when you are ready to release all responsibility to him - and to be able to do that, you must feel confident that he is capable of accepting that full responsibility.

I get the impression that he is not capable at the moment. In that case he may not be for you. You are to be used as a slave, not to be abused to no purpose. Perhaps he will see the light yet?

In any case you ought to have posed the question to your master. You obey him and it is his decision how you should behave.

Unless you have an understanding with him that bruises and marks are a limit, then yeah...it's complaining.

Babybass -> RE: is this complaining ? (10/19/2007 8:48:27 AM)

It does seem like complaining - surely he knows that if he whips or canes you it is going to hurt and leave marks...and he did see your skin right after - he was there!!

I do tell Daddy about my bruises - but only to say how much I love them....

Is he hurting you so badly that you cannot function? if so he is careless - why damage you so badly that you cannot perform your tasks?

chellekitty -> RE: is this complaining ? (10/19/2007 8:49:05 AM)

yes, its complaining....but there is a difference between hurt and harm...harm is permanent...and harm can be done emotionally and mentally as well as physically...if he is harming you and doesn't care, then you have two choices...accept it or get out....and you don't have to wait for him to release you, if and when you decide to withdraw consent, you are no longer his slave and you just leave...

BOUNTYHUNTER -> RE: is this complaining ? (10/19/2007 9:03:23 AM)

WE are sadists and the majority of those in our life are pain lovers,YES he whip her and he knew the damage he did and probably stood back to admire his work..,from her profile it seems as tho she is a masochist wench...If bruises and welts were off limits then he over stepped his bounds however A good Master  knows the difference between harm and a good journey..bounty

toservez -> RE: is this complaining ? (10/19/2007 9:10:59 AM)

It depends on your motivations, how you do it and your arrangement of your relationship.

Certainly if you are new to someone, showing and keeping them informed of your health in this area is a valuable tool in both of you learning about your body.

But as Chellekitty wrote there is a difference. Are these bruises too much for you to handle mentally? Is the person going to far physically with your body? If either of these cases then communication is vital and not complaining. If a degree of bruising is too much for you mentally then is it not complaining but your duty for you and your dominant to communicate what you can handle.

To me complaining comes into play where you are giving a dominant a report card back and inferring that next time they need to do something different just because that is how you feel out of personal preference and not out of safety or the scope of agreed upon limits.

Rule -> RE: is this complaining ? (10/19/2007 9:35:19 AM)

Speaking purely from the point of view of a theoretician without any experience:

According to theory and testimonies, the purpose of torturing a natural slave (not a submissive) is to murder a part of her mind. Caution: That does not work in someone who is not a natural slave, nor in a natural slave that cannot rely on her owner to be responsible for her.

It is an ugly business, but a sadist may be up to it. It should be done right the first time, if possible, for it will indeed cause mental damage if not successful - as the hurt part of the mind then does not die, but survives. Another caution therefore: one should not attempt to achieve this if one has not been taught how to do it and if one is not prepared to accept the full consequences and the full responsibility for the creature that results.

mnottertail -> RE: is this complaining ? (10/19/2007 9:53:01 AM)

If you'd rather, think of it like baptism, drowning the old and birthing a new being.....

You got demons runnin' up all inside ya....you need to get you to church and get you some healin' girl!!!!!!!

Rev. Ron (from the church of Jesus Christ!!!! What's happenin' now?)

mistoferin -> RE: is this complaining ? (10/19/2007 9:55:01 AM)

Did you ever think that maybe I like demons running all up inside me? lmao

Seriously, that statement had to rank up in the top 10 most ridiculous things I have ever seen on collarme.

Nor someone that hasn't consented to it, and doesnot actively want it.

This may be one purpose (one that I am familiar with in that sick-to-my-stomach kinda way), though there are plenty of others, I'm sure. [:)]

To the OP, whether or not it is complaining depends on what you have negotiated. Your master is responsible for making sure that you are in good condition (lets face it, damaged property just doesn't work as well), so I imagine he would be interested to know if he is actually harming you.

Is considerable bruising a limit for you? Did/does he know that? Is the bruising and/or marks significantly effecting your daily responsibilities and activities? Furthermore, are they readily visible, where it could cause problems for you in public? Whiny or not, I think the above are all valid concerns.

As for his side of things, and how he feels about you discussing your status with him: ask him, not us.

colouredin -> RE: is this complaining ? (10/19/2007 10:09:51 AM)

Its like people said it depends why you are telling him. Ill tell people about my brusises (normally they ask and also because i get an sense of pride in them) If you are saying ouch thats not fair you hurt me well yeah thats complaining but if you say hey Sir guess what my bruises have gone purple thats jsut keeping him informed and from my experiance Doms like to know about the marks that they have left.

So I am a top ten contestant. Thank you for the compliment. And me being merely a theoretician... I see. I comprehend. I am the one-eyed man in the country of the blind.

Quite. I am righteous and agree to both limits. Unfortunately Evil may not agree, for evil is as Evil does. On the other hand Evil occasionally does benefit humanity and is an essential part of the cycles of our existence and of those of the Universe.

Murder is sickening, I agree, but in these cases, if desired, they may benefit the natural slave for the crazy creature that results is divine, holy, an incarnation of the Goddess of Slaves.

I think it all depends on your tone.  If I were whiney and bitchy and nagging about whatever I said, then it's complaining.  If I thought he had pushed me particularly far I would say something like, 'Wow.  I don't think we've played that hard in a long time.  It hurts to sit!'  That's not complaining.  While we are playing I get to scream and yell and curse and I think he gauges how much he's hurting me by the reactions.  He likes the 'complaining' ('Ouch.' 'Fuck that hurt!' etc etc) during a scene and it's a huge turn on for him.  If I just sat there and whimpered, he'd probably get bored.

Ultimately, your Master gets to decide what is and is not a complaint, so just ask him.

smilezz -> RE: is this complaining ? (10/19/2007 12:55:36 PM)

Hurt and Harm are entirely different. Which one did he do? (think about that for a moment)

There is nothing wrong with keeping an eye on the welts and/or bruises that you get. If you feel something is odd looking, bring it up to him.
If he feels you are complaining, I am sure he is capable of telling you so.

Focus50 -> RE: is this complaining ? (10/19/2007 1:03:51 PM)

From the tone of your post, it sounds more to me like it's conversation rather than complaining...?  So, are you unhappy with the bruises etc?  If you are then discussing it with him would constitute *communication* in my book, and certainly NOT 'whining', as others have suggested.

Personally, I like to see the result of my handy work but not at the expense of my girl's general happiness.  Owning her isn't just about doing what I damn well like to her; I'm responsible for her health and well-being, most esp when I'm expressing my sado needs upon her person.

Shawn1066 -> RE: is this complaining ? (10/19/2007 1:11:48 PM)

Communication is not whining...there is a difference.

I just have no idea from what you've said if you were communicating or whining...  If you were hurt...then I don't see a problem with anything.  If you were harmed...then perhaps you should speak with him on it.

If you're just polite and soft-spoken when something displeases you, then it's not whining...it's just voicing your opinion.
