Yaay, so glad you posted it! Mmmm, I love the way you feel rope snug all the way around your skin. The abrasiveness when you struggle. Sometimes the flexibility, illusion of possible escape. The cutting into the skin. Oh, and the personal nature. It takes quite a bit of effort to tie someone up really well. It is very intimate, whether it is a takedown, or an intricate shibari pose you have to hold still for. Feeling the effort and skill involved. Anyone can slap on a pair of shackles or cuffs and laugh, but knotwork, and knowing joints and anatomy for good rope bondage is much more personal. That is why I love rope! Edited to add: And I like natural fiber rope! Made by hand with skill and love. Not the slippery synthetic stuff. And the symbolism and history of shibari/kinbaku fascinate me, though I don't know much now, I'm intrigued to keep learing, it mesmerizes me. Okay, I'm just a Shibari/kinbaku slut.
