This is what I wrote to support here on cm:

Please add these categories to CM:

BOTTOM: As you know, so many, many men say 'submissive' when they mean BOTTOM. So, they lie to get close and hope to be topped. BOTTOM as a category has a huge base here on cm. Certainly much bigger than submissive?
TOPs: For all the bdsm fun. they will look for bottoms and not subs.
Cm is unintentionally forcing men to lie. Let's give all those bottoms and dommes a break and add the category: BOTTOM
Let's save hundreds of hrs and allow people get to rt much faster because the men get to say who and what they really are. For women also, of course, but it's mostly men who have to lie here.
We really need to have these options for profiles and their own forums!

i think the idea has merit, and should enclude the (furries?) people that liken themselves to creatures. but i'm not in the position to make those calls, and that's probly a good thing

I agree. Far too much pressure on this site to "submit" or "Dominate".

and how about some big icon for those who are here to do that cyber-stuff, and an icon for us that aren't in to that. this feature could save me a few head-aches when i go to answer my mail...

Thanks for responding.
Why don't you start a forum titled 'Furries' on the General bdsm forums?
Do you think the category of Bottom would be helpful for everyone here?

Yes, I think it would be great to divide up the boxes that are checked into both authority (dominant, submissive, switch, neutral) and sensation roles (top, bottom, switch, neutral). Of course, the precise nature of how you approach BDSM belongs in the profile text--that's why we get to write in answers.

all though, i'd love to be a fly on the wall if there were an official CM meeting about this issue...
i dealt with a few unsavory types and used my block feature, but i've not been so discouraged as to lose interest in the site. on the other hand, there's always room for improvement....

Phoenix, That's a great idea! A whole category for 'Cyber Only' or 'No Cyber'. It would be just dandy to keep the cyber wankers on their own site altogether.

Edited because I have been up almost all night brainstorming with Dommes and subs, making plans and having fun.

I love the idea of adding in top and bottom since there are people that just like playing with the stuff. Great idea.

And while adding categories I think there should be trans switch. It bothers me that that’s not an option. I just feel like it’s forcing people who are trans to have to pick, just like top and bottom.

I also believe one should be honest in their profile.

That's why I think 'Bottom' needs it's own category.
When you said 'castle realm', did you mean fantasy life? I don't know much at all about it. Please explain.

and where is says "seeking" something to click that communicates you are a couple looking to bring more people into the relationship and create a polyhouse, not looking to join an existing one...

Uh huh, but there would still be those twits who think "I am the mighty Dominant-I can mold her into my prefect slave."

Solves very little in the long run. I still have girls who seem to think I could be the big bad master-just because I know how D/s works. Knowing a thing and desiring it-are two entriely different things. Some people refuse to see past thier fantasies.

My vote goes for this. As a bottom I can't put myself in any other category than submissive, but I'm not submissive at all.... I'm just a bottom.

Because I am a Domme I am thrilled to have 'Domme' as my category. I change my journal to reflect what's going on every week, so all the bases get covered.
Even when we clearly say things in our profile, it often gets ignored and that's why I think we need a Bottom category.

Trans choices and poly creators like someone else said. Both are important.
