Miko's fahter isn't a villian.

Its debatable.  Being a demon he's kind of a villian - he's got the whole mysterious bad boy appeal thing being a demon.  But you're probably right - in comparison to the tentacle creature he's pretty tame.  (Rock on - So glad someone else knew the reference!!! you rock!!!)

EPGAH -> RE: Rooting for the Villian (11/1/2007 8:06:47 AM)

Well, being a demon doesn't necessarily make you evil...Think Spawn or Ghost Rider!

BloodLuna -> RE: Rooting for the Villian (11/1/2007 8:17:50 AM)

Ok ok, I give. you guys are right! (Wow, did I just admit to being wrong?   Someone bite me quick!) LOL

EPGAH -> RE: Rooting for the Villian (11/1/2007 8:39:23 AM)

*Chomp!*[:D]
Oh, does anyone remember the short-lived TV show "Brimstone"? It was about a cop who died and was offered a literal Deal with the Devil--he became Hell's bountyhunter, and had to shoot the escaped hellions in each eye to send them back, and if he caught'em all, he'd get HIS freedom, and literally get his life back...sounds sort of like the end of "Constantine", doesn't it? Or the computer-game "PainKiller"...

Where?

FangsNfeet -> RE: Rooting for the Villian (11/1/2007 8:54:24 PM)

When it comes to TV shows and the Big Screen, I have to give props to Satin. In most story lines, the Devil either steals your soul or you learn to be a better person and better appricate life.

To name a few, there's Devils Advocate, Bedazzled, Constatine, and Satin even made an appearance on a Twilight Zone episode.

Either way, the Devils seems to be happy if he gets you or proud that you passed a test or trial. How often do we see Lucifer truely loose?

It's also hard not to root for Tim Cury regadless of who he plays. In the movie Legend, who really wanted to see an ending with a happy land of trees, flowers, faries, elves, endless sun shine, unicorns, and an ever loving couple? [:'(]

Enough is enough.

I was super pissed they cut out the love scene with Darkness and Lilly! What a gyp! I have heard that the European verson has a bit of the love scene in it.

As many know the music from the European release is a Musical score.. and not Tangerine Dream at all.

( Yeah I am a geek.. so sue me. )

I'm a huge fan of a certain serial killer... but I'm not sure you'd call him a villian exactly. He's a serial killer who only kills other serial killers.

Dexter isn't your everyday, ordinary psychopath. In fact, as later episodes will reveal, there's a darn good reason he's not all together upstairs when it comes to emotions and such.

He doesn't feel truly connected to anyone in his life. And he's not sure if he even could be. There are people he respects. There are people he'd protect. But he doesn't know whether that's emotionally driven or if it's a learned behavior, picked up from living with his foster/later adoptive parents, specifically his father, Harry Morgan.

I won't spoil things for those who may want to enjoy him on their own time. But here's the intro to the show: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ej8-Rqo-VT4

Sunao -> RE: Rooting for the Villian (11/2/2007 2:40:59 AM)

Ichi The Killer is my Fav Villian. Zatoichi is my second fav. sure in the movie series he is a blind gangster swordsmen but he is still killing people and he is a gangster which in terms relates to bad guy which then relates to villian.. Also Dex is a great series.

RealityLicks -> RE: Rooting for the Villian (11/2/2007 2:43:48 AM)

Dexter is a brilliant show, but he is the hero, albeit the anti-hero. Sgt Doakes is sort of the anti-villain - if you rooted for him you're on the money.

BloodLuna -> RE: Rooting for the Villian (11/2/2007 8:09:06 AM)

Fangs:  *shivers* neck if you have fangs LOL  Now you're just teasing!  Its no fair to play to my fang fetish!!!

Gwyn.  I have a really cool double dvd directors cut of Legend.  It has both the european and american versions.  The european version has a much longer dark romance scene between Darkness and Lily.  I have to admit to absolute melting arousal at that scene.  I ADORE Darkness.  And I won't even begin to go into the things I would do to Lily LOL.  In my opinion the european version is much fuller and has much more story than the US version which was chopped to hell and has a completely Different ending entirely.

When it comes to "Legend" two things did shock me. One was using the electra tech music score instead of Goldsmiths score. Two was how the hell did a medeval fantasy monster learn to speak spanish? Darkness had the little villian cast into a hole of fire, "Adios Amigos." Where the hell did that come from?

Atleast you can still buy the Jerry Goldsmith musical score on CD. Inside the cover, you can read about the score and deleted/edited scenes from the movie. I happen to use some of the songs for scene play.

Also, don't forget that you can always read the story.

Isn't that the fun in being a cruel and sadistic dom? We don't have to be fair.

Other than Tim Curry, another Actor that I have alway rooted for was the legendary Vincent Price. Good, evil, or just caught in the middle, that voice of his always draws you into the character he plays. I can't help but to always want to see him win.

When it comes to comics, I'm a big fan of Johnny the Homicidal Maniac. A word of caution: Buy a Doh Boy at your own risk.

I used to work for a "Mega Media Corp" I got all sorts of cool merch from Dexter before it even came out.. I love my Dexter T-Shirt.

It is one of my fave shows... well that and The L Word, and Big Love... ( go figure!)

I root for Dexter all the time. but I dont see him as the bad guy... now Sgt. Doakes.. he is just a plain ol jerk.

Loved the season closer last year. wow.

Gwyn,
No longer the Mega Media Whore I once was...

I used to have the Jerry Goldsmith score.. but an ex 5 finger discounted it.
Rat bastard... he also ran off with my Last Unicorn CD and DVD.

BloodLuna -> RE: Rooting for the Villian (11/3/2007 5:44:11 AM)

Fangs:  No, the sadistic part is you in flordia and  me in IL and no fangs to speak of LOL  Its ok, you had me craving so bad I told my Sir. Now I have 8 bruises on my neck in the prettiest little necklace pattern.  you're gonna get me into trouble on a regular basis!!!!!

Gwyn : patience.  Should have it within 5-7 days.  Will send it out when we ship our weekly ebay stuff.  And I can help with the tail.  I have the furriest, most adorable little kitty tail with a plug on the end so you don't wag it out in your excitement :P  Sorry, couldn't help it!

Ok - Villans.  Christopher Lee.  He was the first Vampire I was exposed to as a kid.
Christopher Walken in Omen.  Thus came my secret fantasy love life with that man!!!!  He's the PERFECT badguy
Bowler Hat Man and the Dinosaur in the  new disney flick Meet the Robinsons.  I felt soooo bad for that guy.  And the dinosaur - hilarious!!!! I have a big head, and little arms!!!!! I nearly fell out of my chair!!!!!

And, drum roll please:  Snape from Harry Potter.  I can't help it, magicians in black robes with long hair get me!!!!!  And yes yes, I know . . .  but we all thought he was a villian for HOW MANY years??? LOL

When you talk to trouble, trouble is what you get. While you're in trouble, I sit back with a cigar and bottle of Celtic Crossing. I'm glad you're enjoying the danger.

EPGAH -> RE: Rooting for the Villian (11/3/2007 12:19:21 PM)

Hey, what about the Big Guy in Sin City? Mob enforcer who really LOVED his job, possibly a little too much?[:D]

In most movies, his role probably wouldn't even have lines, until some fight-scene where the Martial Arts Hero would wipe the floor with him, after taking enough pain FROM him! In this movie, he was the Secondary Hero--or at least as close as anyone came in that movie...The cop who got framed for corruption was the Main Hero, on his (un)Holy Quest(?) to save the Stripper In Distress![;)]

I still think they should've gotten someone with bigger breasts to play the stripper! (Or is that an udderly different subject?[;)])

And wasn't it telling that in that crisscrossing movie, the Ultimate Bad Guy was a pedophile PRIEST?![;)]
