Not that I couldn't take more, of course. Safewording just seemed like a public service.

Fucking eh, I second that "red"

I wasn't telling Rabbit to fuck off because he had a view of my relationship - I was telling him to fuck off because he told me to change MY view of my relationship.

People seriously read what they want to read in things.  I have tried as much as I can to clarify things, and I'm still not being heard.

FFS I said "The two are equally a command" and Mad Rabbit took that to mean "safewords are not a command" and got confused when I said "no, they are BOTH commands."

I swear you all can disagree with me as much as you want but will you please at least try to disagree with THE THINGS THAT I SAY instead of things that I never even once brought up?

That is what red means to us also at times. I agree with what Kyra says about it not being a universal truth. Depends on what we are doing and what is involved.

I don't know about your self, sweetnurse, but I cannot recall a single time that play has stopped because I said I did not want anymore.  Even this last time, I am laying on the floor crying, not able to stand after an intense kicking and punching scene.  He asked me if I was done and I said yes.  He then took the BBQ brush to me until he decided I was done.  The "I do not want another" does not obligate him to stop and he rarely stops there.

If there was pain involved I wouldn't have safeworded at all, it is the boredom of it all that made me call colors

And this is a living example of how a safeword is used, and does not stop the scene (merely conveys information).      :)

No MR, that's your world.  The world of putting words in someone's mouth and then insulting them for the words that you put there. And it's really tired.

This might mean something

I hear the train a comin'; it's rollin' 'round the bend,
And I ain't seen the sunshine since I don't know when.
I'm stuck at Folsom Prison and time keeps draggin' on.
But that train keeps rollin' on down to San Antone.

When I was just a baby, my mama told me, "Son,
Always be a good boy; don't ever play with guns."
But I shot a man in Reno, just to watch him die.
When I hear that whistle blowin' I hang my head and cry.

I bet there's rich folk eatin' in a fancy dining car.
They're prob'ly drinkin' coffee and smokin' big cigars,
But I know I had it comin', I know I can't be free,
But those people keep a movin', and that's what tortures me.

Well, if they freed me from this prison, if that railroad train was mine,
I bet I'd move on over a little farther down the line,
Far from Folsom Prison, that's where I want to stay,
And I'd let that lonesome whistle blow my blues away

Sometimes it is valuable to go and read posts of other threads of someone to ascertain whether or not they are worth the carpul tunnel being exerted and endured on their behalf. Or if some persons have ever lived 24/7 real time and/or even met their "master." Perhaps knowledge from the bottom can be garnered by selling it from the Top. I don't know.
I'm sorry no one cared for Ferdinand...poor man contributed so much only to have the linguistic sign, signifier and refrent ignored for chest puffing and obscene obfuscation.

I don't either. I've seen the ads in magazines.

Maybe because you were still trying to catch your breath from that well placed kick I made, my Lord?  Or is that what the charlie horse was for that you gave me... take the leg out of commission?

Not sure who you're referring to, but in my past two relationships - both D/s relationships, one of which was live in, I didn't use safewords for the same reason.  I have also played casually, and in those situations I did use safewords.

I'm going to meet my Master in about 3 days...but I have enough experience to be able to speak from it, rather than theoretically.

And FWIW I agreed with what Ferdinand said.  To risk beating a dead horse though, some signs can also be commands

No. They can't. Signs are nothing without signifiers which are only ever given meaning by an agreed upon acceptance of the meanings of signs. Signs are never commands. They are a construct of human beings to convey information to other human beings. Kinda like how you understood from my "signs" that I was refering to you (referent) and you knew it, even though I didn't use direct language (i.e. "I'm talking about xoxi here) to do it. It was a sign. Sent and received. That is the mutherfucking point.
