I am endeavoring to write a how-to guide for new Dominants. What sorts of advice do you feel is appropriate for people who are just starting out in the lifestyle and need a little help. Sinergy

1 - just because your title is "Dominant", "Sir", "Master" doesn't make you "God" 2 - submissives/slaves are people too, handle with care 3 - not everyone is a bonafide "expert" in every BDSM activity 4 - it's ok to show your emotional side 5 - not every submissive/slave is at your personal beck and call

Include a reference list of books that cover this topic in detail (Screw the Roses and the Miss Abernathy books come to mind) as well as a list of places to learn about safety and first aid, such as the Red Cross.

Don't listen to the self-important line of bs others will try to sell you. Be who you are, your importance becomes known by your actions. make sure they know that "on your knees now slut" is always the proper first greeting when meeting a subbie for the first time. and if the subbie refuses, anything short of spanking their bare ass right there in the restaurant in front of everyone, will prove they arent a twue dom.

You want poor and/or stupid advice? Take everything everyone has said and apply it in reverse. I'd also add the following: Make sure to have a tankard of some alcholic beverage on hand at all times. Ale and mead work well. Swill contents, belch loudly. Repeat until tankard is empty, then summon a s-type to your feet by yelling at the top of your lungs. When no one shows up in 30 seconds, whine about how there are no good subs/slaves anymore.

Also by shouting you are a Dom loud and often enough will get you laid.
