Number of previous sexual partners has never been an issue in my current relationship. He's never asked me, and I've never come out and said "Oh, by the way, I've fucked xx men". The only slight problem we've ever had regarding sexual past is that when we got together MANY moons ago, he was a virgin. In the beginning, it was a bit like "oh, okay then", but then I got to currupt him, and that was great fun.

It isn't so much a matter of how many for me, I was married for 20 years and was monogamus but before marriage my number was pretty darn high lol. So there is a huge time gap in my count.

I don't advertise how many I've slept with, but if I'm asked, I do answer honestly. I'm not ashamed of my sexual past since in all instances I've never cheated, participated in cheating, never lied to get into anybodies pants nor have engaged in any sexual accounter that had even remotely the danger of getting somebody physically or mentally hurt. When I answer honestly I've had a couple of times had a negative reaction from the questioner and once, a prospective partner straight out told me he couldn't be with a whore like me. I'm actually glad he said it upfront because I have no interest what so ever in somebody who is ready to disregard my personality and companionship over my sexual past. It saved me alot of time and possibly a heartache.

Today, my current partner is totally ok with my sexual past and his sexual past has also been vibrant although mine has alot more people in it.

at this phase of my life, how many sexual encounters another has had is not important to me. however, i do like to know relationship histories. are they still friends, is there civil communication, and is there ongoing drama to any past relationships.
at 51, i have had years of monogomy and years of having freedom to fuck and suck when and who i wanted.
now if i am expected to know the exact count that won't happen. i will say in all honesty that it is more than twenty and less than fifty, if that bothers any potential partners then they won't be a potential for long.

I've had sex with a whole 3 men in my entire life. That said, I don't really care how many partners someone else has had, at least not from a moral standpoint, but my concern would be catching an std. Current blood tests or condoms are neccesary. Other than that, I take no issue with someone who has had numerous partners.

there are a couple of answers about "a clean bill of health" - wonder what that means? i have worked with so many women who have gotten HPV, chlamydia, AIDS, whatever from their husband or one partner.... just a happy reminder - it isnt who you fuck, it's how you fuck... so would you eliminate these women because they didnt have a clean bill of health? wow.... i worked with a 9 year old girl who had been raped and gotten herpes.... i guess in 10 years, she wont be ok too? i hope that "a clean bill of health" actually means that they are MANAGING whatever is going on in their bodies... *thinks of a guy i dated who had diabetes and couldnt get an erection.... he was a great lover and an even better boyfriend. hmmmm....

Less than your age? You're 36! I think that there's definitely a skewed average here as I wouldn't consider a 36 year old who has had 36 sexual partners to be the national average.

I'm 24 and my number is less than my age too...less than half my age actually. It's not terribly high but...it is higher than my Master's. That does make me feel a bit weird when I stop to think about it, just the whole "am I a slut" aspect of it (no I don't think I am one; no I don't want to be one) but the past is the past and I can't go back and change it. As long as he doesn't mind it too terribly much I guess we're fine.
