I am thankful for a one day out of character decision a year ago that changed my life
I am thankful for my wonderful friends and family
I am thankful for my soon to be extended family who were so excited about the news yesterday
I am thankful for my health and Fox's health.

Reminds me of a prayer (said at my best friends house every year)
Thank you for the food, as we remember the hungry
Thank you for our health, as we remember the sick
Thank you for our families as we remember those who cannot be with theirs
And thank you for the year to come, may it be as good as or better than the one before.

DV

Thankful that my (soon to be no longer) ex-husband and I have reconciled and are discussing wedding plans.  I cooked the family meal ('bout 15 people... ums included) and we formally announced our plans then.   We watched the 'Bird Bowl' game at a friend's house  and enjoyed pies and cookies and lots of bad for the diet foods...yummy!

So I guess what I'm most thankful for is a 2nd chance at love with the Evil One, a big family, lots of friends, a paid off mortgage, food on the table and the worlds' bestest um.

It's 11PM, hubby's on his way to bed, I've finally got enough room in my digestive system to eat my slice of pumpkin pie, and I've had about the best day I can imagine.  I am thankful that my daughter and her family live 400 ft down my driveway, and I can see my grandkids every day.  We had a great day together today, and when it was time for the day to end they had a 60 second trip home.

I've got a heck of a lot more to be thankful for.  I have a hubby who is my best friend.  After 7 1/2 years of marriage, I still feel honeymooney about him, and he about me.  We say, "I love you," frequently - at least a couple times a day - and really mean it every time we say it.  We hold hands a lot, and sleep best when we're spooning, as long as I'm not having hot flashes.

I'm thankful that my daughter and I are so close, and that her honey and I are so close.  And that being so close and living so close together and being so interdependent (we're helping them get my daughter through college), we all have the capacity to stay out of each other's shit.

I'm thankful for my job.  I've been there 19 years, and I still like it.  My boss is wonderful. My coworkers are good people.  My job is challenging, but not so much that it keeps me up nights.

I'm thankful for my friends.  I know some wonderful people who I know I can count on if I ever need them.  They're family in every way that really matters.

Life is good.  I'm a lucky woman.
