laurell3 -> You know you or your partner is a control freak when.... (11/27/2007 4:02:14 PM)

This post is meant to be light-hearted and is prompted by another more serious post.  However, it reminded me of some humorous characteristics I have noticed in several Doms that I know that clearly demonstrate what I rather affectionately refer to as being a control freak.  The two examples I used previously are not being able to accept change from the cashier without stopping to put the bills back in one's wallet and arranging them sequentially and all facing the same direction and stopping the action during sex to pick up the clothes and fold them before continuing.

I'd like to hear any humorous thoughts or other behaviors anyone has about their partners or themselves.

The yell at you for your socks being on the floor

He is not a control freak most of the time, but he does correct me because I do have trouble pronouncing certain words... a conversation we had on his couch the other night

Me: Is he going to excape
Him: It is escape, strumpet, not excape
Me: I said it escape, Daddy
Him: No you didn't, you said excape
Me: Did I axe you?
(I believe he pulled my hair at that point and asked me if I was getting smart with him... I kinda got lost once he pulled my hair[:D])

Hmmm... "control freak" or someone suffering with OCD?  <chuckle>

laurell3 -> RE: You know you or your partner is a control freak when.... (11/27/2007 6:18:54 PM)

rofl, "axe",  that's funny.

I will in restraints and totally as his mercy harass and laugh at my partner about folding the clothes.  I can't help it, it's hilarious to me.

Kaiynasha -> RE: You know you or your partner is a control freak when.... (11/27/2007 6:24:07 PM)

When someone keeps yelling, "MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE MINE." And just when you have given them everything they look and point at you and say, "MINE."

Oh the misery!

batshalom -> RE: You know you or your partner is a control freak when.... (11/27/2007 7:10:38 PM)

When he gives you a twisted fairy tale version of everything you say and every thought you have and every move you make and everything you haven't said / done / thought / expressed, and it all points to the reasons why you're a liar and a cheater and don't care about him at all; and he won't listen to the truth AND makes the truth sound to your own ears like a bunch of crazy excuses because he is so assured of the inaccurate monster builder in his head that he's like an impenetrable fortress of weird (but somehow logical) ideas.

~deep breath~

No. I don't want to talk about it. (But a Dramamine might be nice - that was one crazy ride.)

LuckyAlbatross -> RE: You know you or your partner is a control freak when.... (11/27/2007 10:17:03 PM)

When you eat a single course meal in separate courses because the foods can't touch (that's me).

When you put canned fruit in the fridge to let it get cold, and then leave it on the counter so it gets warm to be at the right "tepid" temperature (also me).

When you tell your partner he's making you sick because he keeps "tapping" on the gas pedal in traffice (me again).

When he's fifteen minutes late getting out the door and you have a total meltdown (yeah, me, last week)

There's more, most of it's related to my OCD/anxiety issues, but then, that's normal, right?

laurell3 -> RE: You know you or your partner is a control freak when.... (11/27/2007 10:32:15 PM)

Seems to be fairly common for the people I've met in person in the lifestyle.  I suppose I shouldn't poke fun as people with serious OCD are not amusing and can be miserable.

I have a weird thing when I'm driving long distances where I have to know where I am, when I'm going to get there and how many miles are left.  I will look at the odometer and clock a million times and recalculate and if I space out or talk on the phone and lose track, it freaks me out.

Shawn1066 -> RE: You know you or your partner is a control freak when.... (11/27/2007 10:35:53 PM)

Lessee...  One time my Owner shaved me because I wasn't doing it properly...  Pet grooming, I guess. :-p

Oh, and when we take outdoor pictures, it's becoming a trend for me to take a picture with my leaf over my nose.  Don't ask why.  Vampires work in mysterious ways...

DiurnalVampire -> RE: You know you or your partner is a control freak when.... (11/27/2007 10:41:13 PM)

One thing the great leafnose has left out...
Even though I am the Dominant one... we cannot be in a room without having all the doors closed. He gets ancy until I let him get up and close the doors.

TysGalilah -> RE: You know you or your partner is a control freak when.... (11/28/2007 4:01:59 AM)

when...

after purging the last guttural sound from myself to the point where my throat is raw....tears having been shed until I feel like I have none left to leak...the only movement I can muster in my exhaustion is to lift my head up from his lap because I have just heard his command " look at me cyn" ...
    and what I see is

the biggest grin on his face of complete satisfaction and an irritatingly calm and composed demeanor staring back down at me........and then he chuckles.

      control freak!!!!!!!!!
and ohhh it makes me mmmmmmmmmmmmmmoan.

wisteriaV -> RE: You know you or your partner is a control freak when.... (11/28/2007 5:29:37 AM)

Master has to have  homemade from scratch pizza at least twice a month and it has to be on Fridays. Alternative Fridays are fish nights. Sundays are chicken and potatoes. It doesn't matter how it is prepared. Also, he has to have his t-shirts, socks and underwear folded a specific way and in the drawer in order. Freshly laundered clothing gets put on the bottom, so the clothing in the drawer the longest is used first.. [:D]

Lordofdance -> RE: You know you or your partner is a control freak when.... (11/28/2007 5:38:46 AM)

Hmmmm...that doesn't sound to me as a control freak....paranoia or delusion perhaps....on the other hand a litttle caution is in order ...sometimes the delusion may turn to out to be real ...hehehe.. like the writing on the hypochondriacs' tomb stone:  "I was right!"

SunNMoon -> RE: You know you or your partner is a control freak when.... (11/28/2007 7:09:36 AM)

The toilet paper has to facing the “correct” way.

Like LA there can be no tapping on the gas pedal.

I don’t share blankets in bed. (they’re all mine I don’t care if when awake I’ll share when I’m sleeping they are all mine.)

I'm not a Dominant, but I can be a control freak.

I enjoy driving, but rarely ever drive us both.  I am a horrible backseat driver.  After a very scary car accident, I'm also a really anxious nervous twitchy passenger.  We keep a blindfold in his truck and if I start freaking out or being annoying, he just makes me wear the blindfold.

I also cannot stand being late.  If he makes us late, I feel like my eyes are going to roll into the back of my head and I'm going to have a seizure.  I follow him around saying, 'You're killing me.  You know that?  Killing me! I'm dead -insert falling against the wall to imply my deadness-'  until he tells me to shut up and wait in the other room.

Oh, I'm not allowed to rub him against the hair, especially his eyebrows or he goes crazy.  I've always thought that was really weird.

BloodLuna -> RE: You know you or your partner is a control freak when.... (11/28/2007 8:35:02 AM)

Lets see - do I have goofy control issues?  Oh yes, in the car.  My Dom is the safest driver I know.  I'm such a control freak (who hates to drive)  that he has to keep a blindfold in the glove box!! Here's a typical 10 minute ride to the grocery store.

Me in the passenger seat:  "Watch out, there's a cop on the left.  You're going 2 over the limit"
Sir:  "Read your book"
Me in the passenger seat     "Red light.  They're braking, they're braking."
Sir:   "Read your book"
Me in the passenger seat   I brace myself with my legs against the dash board and take a grip on the door handle
Sir;  "Read your book or I'm taking out the blindfold!!!"

SunNMoon - I have toliet paper roll issues too.  I've been known to get hysterical when walking into the bathroom and finding empty cardboad!  Goddess Forbid  I sit down first!!!!   [:@]

ROFL!!!  I can actually visualize what that car ride would be like.  I have a good friend who is just like you... Unfortunately, they are not lifestyle and wouldn't go for the blindfold at all.  LOL
