C'mon people do you really think that ones mental health has anything to do with political views?

You know, when Bill Clinton was president I surely remember a lot of foaming at the mouth vitriol spewed forth... and I do not even like Bill Clinton... but for crying out loud, even his very young daughter was called a dog by Rush Limbaugh

If you didn't just make that up, then you and owner59 are the biggest Rush Limbaugh fans I've ever heard of. You two claim to know everything he's ever said by heart!

You think it's revolting and dispicable to say that, "Losing to Bush effected certain people drastically. Then all the hype and fomenting of hatred etc made things even worse."?

People saying that sort of a thing triggers Rush Limbaugh flashbacks in you???

I am gonna have to call bullshit on you, there; Sanity.

The word is 'affected', and does not allow the use of 'effected' here;   there was never a hatred so drastic that it had  an active voice, I mean nobody has shot the fuckwad or impeached him; they are just disgusted and revolted, not yet revolting.

LOL,

technically it is not a spelling issue, it is a word usage issue

"Meanness" has nothing to do with what I am going on about julia

And if you really want to play the victim here why not go find someone who is more willing to take that bait than I am

If you want to step up and debate politics, you're probably going to get some muck on you even if you are a girl.

Hey - don't shoot the messenger here

http://www.gallup.com/poll/102943/Republicans-Report-Much-Better-Mental-Health-Than-Others.aspx

quote:

PRINCETON, NJ -- Republicans are significantly more likely than Democrats or independents to rate their mental health as excellent, according to data from the last four November Gallup Health and Healthcare polls. Fifty-eight percent of Republicans report having excellent mental health, compared to 43% of independents and 38% of Democrats. This relationship between party identification and reports of excellent mental health persists even within categories of income, age, gender, church attendance, and education.

The basic data -- based on an aggregated sample of more than 4,000 interviews conducted since 2004 -- are straightforward.

they seem to have better mental health because they can afford the good mood elevators....us poor democrats have to drink budweiser and do herbal therapy....

By Drastically impacted I am thinking you meant that we are all depressed, bitter, and angered by the years that Bush spent in office... I was reminding you how Clinton haters were drastically impacted by his years in charge... nothing more.

At one time I allowed myself to be drastically impacted by the Bush years.. those were wasted years of my life that I found better spent being joyful and happy with the beauty  I see around me. It helps that I do not watch TV or actually listen to Monkey in The Middle speak.

Thank you, julia, that was very well worded and I think extremely honest. Thank you for your candor.

I don't believe that the Right was affected by Bill Clinton as badly as the Left was affected by George Bush though, we simply disagree on that point.

Many didn't like Bill Clinton, and were even outraged by his scandals, but I do not believe that many people on the Right became depressed (like you say you did).

I think that the differences are significant

"By Drastically impacted I am thinking you meant that we are all depressed, bitter, and angered by the years that Bush spent in office.."

Well, that, the loss of Habeas Corpus absent a proper Constitutional foundation for the suspension, the widespread, warrant-less digital surveillance of all network traffic of ALL Internet users, the torture and murder done in the name of the United States...

The wasted lives, the wasted money, and the erosion of the traditional protections against totalitarianism... The big problem is that the NEXT GUY will have an easier job consolidating Federal Authority in the Executive, making a bigger mockery ( and being a bigger threat to Freedom and Liberty ) of checks and balances, due process, and equal protection under the law...

Sorry if I'm off on a tangent, but they were just some of the ideas which sprung to mind.

During Clinton, we discussed the impropriety of fucking around at the office.

During Bush, we discuss the impropriety of torturing prisons held without charge, counsel, or trial.

I remember very distinctly the hatred and vitriolic spew... I remember people handing out 3 dollar bills with Clinton's visage on them. I remember people being "outraged"...

I see no difference... and one self reporting poll is not going to change my mind

Somehow, your posts all seem the same to me.

"We should be much nicer to those poor, poor terrorist people. Don't hunt them, don't catch them, don't hold them, don't question them..."

Yes sir, if you've read one farglebargle post, you've read them all. Well, okay, so there are a few other themes that you thump on.

Repeatedly.

But they're all very predictable posts.

Why do you lie?

I don't suggest being nice, nor have I ever suggested not pursuing criminals.

I have never suggested we NOT prosecute them, and sentence them to death, should that be the Juries desire.

You can detain anyone you want -- IN ACCORDANCE WITH THE CONSTITUTIONAL LIMITS ON GOVERNMENT AUTHORITY.

The Framer's Intent is quite clear. Due Process and Equal Protection for ALL. Not ONLY Citizens. Not ONLY "Special Classes", but ALL.

The Constitution restricts the Government WHEREVER the Government exists.

The Constitution restricts Government Employees WHEREVER those Employees are.

The argument, "It's not on US Soil", or "They're Not Citizens" is invalid. It's not about the SUSPECTS. It's about what authority has been delegated by The People.

These are crazy times, when people advocating for Equal Protection and Due Process are called Un-American by those advocating imprisonment without trail, and torture.

I'm not lying, your posts really are very predictable.

And the framers sent armed forces after the Barbary pirates - you know, Muslim terrorists, without sending keystone cops, juries, public defenders, representatives from the ACLU, or any of the other niceties that you're demanding today

I have *never* said "We should be much nicer to those poor, poor terrorist people. Don't hunt them, don't catch them, don't hold them, don't question them...", or anything remotely like it.

I am insulted to have your fabricated quotation attributed to me.
