Ladies and gentlemen, I have a wonderful problem. I play regularly with a delightful girl who processes pain very well*, responds well to play that challenges her pain-processing abilities, and quickly learns to process a given level and type of pain, growing eager for more challenges. Now, I like me some SM play, and she's a sweetheart generally, too, so this is a wonderful situation. We have explored together and enjoyed several methods of pain play--electrotorture of a couple kinds, stress positions, compression, and, naturally, impact. This all sounds like bragging, but I promise, there is a small problem here! Lately, we've gotten to the most intense part of my impact play toybag--we're using the nasty little whippy synthetic cane, and the heavy rubber truncheon/baton/thingummy. And we're also getting close to full-arm strokes. While we enjoy other kinds of SM, I want to be prepared to move to higher-intensity impact play, as we like impact play and I think that could be fun. Now, I'm not going to get significantly stronger soon, so the answer seems to lie in toy shopping. Kind people of the collarme boards, what are your favorite high-intensity implements? Is a different configuration of rubber the best option? I love rattan, but it's fairly light, even in diameters greater than 1/2 inch--are there other woods that you would suggest? I like rod/cane implements best, but perhaps I need to explore other shapes more intensely--would paddles work well? Thanks much! PairOfDimes *Delightful Girl, if you're reading this, I realize that we have talked about your approach to pain, and that's why I'm using these words, rather than "masochist."
