One must know what they are doing before using one of these!!!
as for me, I love the cane, and it was the one thing i was afraid of. It's so intense, and i do enjoy the marks later.
I can take lots more from the cane than i can a wooden paddle..hate that thing!!

Another thought I have recently noticed after a canning session I have an incredible thirst and a while afterwards am really hungry and crave sweet things....
Was wondering (and it may not be because of the canning but any particular intense scene) if anybody else felt the same way or is it just coincidence?

My Master has told me that having something sweet and sugary after the endorphin rush of play helps you recover from your scenes more quickly. Maybe your body is craving something sweet to help you balance your internal chemicles back to a non play level.

Thanks its encouraging to know there is a reason for the cravings....will have to make sure there is not too many sweet things around after a good scene.

    Yes the marks that we are left with are amazing and are a great reminder like you said. I know ecactly what you are saying about the "badge of honor" as I love to carry them for the same reasons and love looking at them also.

    LOL, you are too funny!! It actually helps me with the sub drop the next day more than anything.
    If I don't have something sugary after a heavy scene I am very lethargic, sleep the whole next day away, or if it's a workday wish I could.
    I find the sugar helps me feel more like myself (of course with a sore butt and boobs) the next day.
    You should keep sweets close by, not put them out of reach.

    wow I now have the best excuse for the chocolate I love....lol....no on a serious note...thanks I shall remember this as I find it interesting now that you mention it I am usually very lethargic the next day which would explain alot....thanks

    What I do find interesting is that some stay for days and will bruise others are red stripes that either stay for a while or dissapear not long after....then there is one that I have a small red strip that has stayed with me for weeks now....funny thing is I never felt it hit at the time and wouldnt have even known it was there except for seeing it. I guess the markings all have to do with what is used and how it is used
