I think that it is wonderful when someone finds themselves and what they want in a relationship...
I know when I have been healing from a heartache, or feeling lonely, I tend to not enjoy spending time with those happily coupled. I have on occasion been in moods when seeing happy couples made me want to throw up a little bit in my mouth... but at least I realized it was my emotional state that made me feel that way, not the actions of those who were happy. No one can make me feel anything unless I let them... I never thought that those who were "bragging" (for wont of a better word) were doing so to make me feel bad, be smug, or in anyway try to be superior to me...
I find in life it is much preferable not to use other people as my excuse to feel bad.
Give me a break, julia. Usually you are more astute than this. Obviously you have not been following along, so spare me your judgemental tone here. No one who has commented on the thread feels bad, is jealous or has used anyone's happiness to feel bad.
My mother always says, it is often not what is being said, but HOW it is said that makes the difference, and what I have responded to is the HOW, not the WHAT.
Does that clear things up for you now?
