Personally, aside from missing a few c-mails now and then, i have had no problems with CM and frankly, i really like all the new changes. Speaking of changes...Dec 26th - full back dragonfly tattoo! i will be submitting a new picture soon

Status: offline 		The site was free even before the changes, and I don't see what the real benefit of having all the thumbnails is.  It's a lot different from the advertising, which actually helps keep this site afloat.  This is just a cosmetic change, and a lot of people don't like it.  It's not as if users couldn't see other users' photos before the change.  All they had to do was click on that users' profile, or use the "browse photos" option.

I think that just because some (or, it seems, many) people are expressing a preference for the old layout doesn't mean that they are not appreciative of all the other positive attributes about Collarme.  I don't see why it has to be such a black-and-white issue for some people.  By the way, count me in among those people who do not like the new look on the front page.  It would be much better if either a) more than 8 profiles at a time would appear (or, there was a setting, as there is on some other sites, to choose how many profiles you will see per page), or b) there was an option to toggle the thumbnails on or off.

You know it's so funny how you go on and on about your precious time being wasted on your profile and yet you waste this same precious time saying the same things over and over on any thread with a complaint, and reading threads you to which you object.  Don't read them, then.  This is a section for off-topic discussion titled "who broke the front page".  Clearly i am not alone in disliking the some of the new changes.  Since there is no forum to discuss these issues elsewhere (like every other community site has) we are forced to do it here.  Don't like the topic, don't read it, ya know, since your time is so precious and all.

THE NEW LAYOUT SUCKS!
I sent a message to 'tech support' basically saying just that. Maybe if enough of us do, they'll recant. I notice they like to muck around with things with no advance warning. The previous prizewinner was when they switched the 'search' and 'clear' buttons for several hours a couple of weeks ago....

OK, I started a poll on this, maybe someone will listen....

What exactly is the issue with the thumbnail photos other than slowing down some of your computers? I have high speed so mine is unaffected. When someone said, "now you cannot see the profiles", you never did see the profiles. You saw only names and you still do if someone has no photo, right?

To those who say there are less on a page, less what? Matches? Perhaps I do not use the site as you all do, I don't put parameters in for matches, I just log on and find emails and go to the forums and voila. I just scroll through profiles, which you can still do.

Am I missing some usage of the site that would help me enjoy my stay more?

The most usual complaint other than speed seems to be they cannot view fresh meat as quickly and have to actually switch to next matches too quickly, and that slows down their hunting time.

Status: offline 		Going from 20 profiles per page to 8 is a big difference, for starters, and it has nothing to do with "laziness."  It often requires going through several pages just to see who is online at any given time, and lots and lots of pages to search through profiles just from the past few hours.  This wasn't necessary before, and the site worked fine (and was still free).  Aesthetically, I also feel that it doesn't look nearly as good.  The thumbnails are kind of large and clunky.  Plus, they're unnecessary!  The pictures were already in the profiles, as well as in the "Browse Photos" feature.  I don't see the problem with the minimal extra effort to actually click on a profile and see that user's pictures. 

Plus, if anything, I'd imagine that all the extra images are placing a larger load on Collarme's servers, and more data is being transferred as a result.  This can, in theory at least, put an additional strain on the servers, and increase hosting fees.  It may be a bit far-fetched, but I'm just trying to illustrate that I also don't really see what's in it for Collarme to make this change, especially since the topic of this site being free has come up so often in this forum.
