You can have a 170 LSAT but a bad GPA and bad letters and not get accepted while the applicant who scored 160 but has a high GPA and good letters will get in. There is no set standard with most admission committees, everything is considered as a whole. That's actually extremely unlikely. I mean, it's possible, but you'd have to have some unbelievably bad rec letters for that to happen. You'd also probably have to have below a 2.5 for a 160 to beat a 170. I know a guy at Northwestern (top 14) with a 173 and a 2.67- not unusual. quote:
.jealous because she scored so high a score. Uh no. Believe me, I hate my score. Master is right to be disappointed as well (still didn't tell him). It's simply not a very good score. It would not get me into a top ivy league type school if I wanted to go. Going to such a school is necessary for being at the top of this field. Sure, I can get into law school. I can even get into a top tier law school, easily, but if I was content to settle for that, it's just having low standards. I'm not bragging and Im not kidding. There are top tier law school, top 14 law schools, the top 5-6 law schools and Harvard, Stanford and Yale. As you get better, your teaching and job opportunities improve. I will take again in Feb. I believe I can do better. I got really nervous on one of the sections and fucked it up. Argh. My score is not worth bragging about, believe me. I won't be telling *any* of my friends what it is.
