I've been warned 4 times by Mod 6, 2 times by Mod 7,  once by Mod 2 a long time ago and 5 times by Mod 11.
I think Mod 6 has a crush on me! She's very nice!

Do you write all of this down?
You have too much time on your hands dude.

I used to moderate email lists and BBS's in the days of Al Gore first creating this thing, and know how difficult it can be sometimes.

Twice on a thread about female supremist Elise Sutton, once or twice about posting images, once for posting a personal insult......

Gore and the Internet
Al Gore did not say he invented the internet. On 9 March 1999, during an interview with Wolf Blitzer of CNN, Gore was asked what were the differences between himself from his opponent in the race for the nomination for President in 2000. His answer was misphrased and while it might sound like he was taking credit for the internet, he was indicating that he supported economic conditions in the US that would allow such new developments as the internet to take place in American society. This site will have the complete information. www.snopes.com/quotes/internet.asp

Al Gore didn't, but Vint and Bob *do* give him the most credit for funding the development of what we have today, and there is *NO ONE* here with the credibility required to seriously dispute *their* statement!

Just out of curiosity, I calculated your average "ppd" (post per day) as 17.5.

How the heck do you do that?  [:)]

I certainly couldn't "keep up"!

Firm

(calculations:

4/19/2006 to 12/19/2007 = 20 months
20 months x 30 days per month = 600 days
10,504 posts/600 days = 17.6 post per day)

An interesting thought came to me while reading this thread again.
I've not been moderated, but I have received my share of .... "polite" ... warning from Mod11. Some I thought were warranted, some I thought were not warranted.

But (thankfully) I've never been punished by being placed on moderation.

Just out of curiosity, I wonder who has been warned the most times, and still not be actually moderated?

Here’s what I find baffling. Some months ago, strictly for fun, I decided to experiment with the boundaries and made a nasty comment to a poster (someone I have gauged to have the backbone to take it) with the intent to see if it would get me moderated or at least a warning. Nothing happened. No moderation. No warning. No indignant response from the poster I had made the comment to, not even a peep of protest or a "behave yourself," from the other posters on the thread. Nothing at all.

More recently I called somebody a nutcase – a rather, in my opinion, innocuous and somewhat humorous epitaph but apparently others disagreed. Next thing I know I’ve got one poster getting seriously indignant with me (not the guy I called a nutcase, I should note) and I’m on the road to moderationville. Total buzz kill. Seems inconsistent to me, but that’s just my opinion.

By the way I did a search and the post with the intentional nasty comment is still there.

MzMia -> RE: "Awaiting approval" (12/22/2007 9:58:09 PM)

Things that make you go "hummmm".

Sometimes it is not what is said, but WHO says it.

Also, sometimes it is WHO were the ones that complained?

If you have been here long enough, you can figure out those that have a "pass".
But this site is free and fun, it does not have to be "fair".

"some people out there *who* believe..."
And you think Al Gore's a liar?
