So far, nobody we know has been killed by being moderated, it does get over, and the sun shines again, and insofar as I know, the only one who has possibly  been killed on CollarMe was Gauge and I am pretty sure that was due to a mispelling of his name.

Ron

Really? That's what killed Gauge? I heard he got a [sm=banana.gif]stuck in his .. opps. N/m. That was supposed to be an Ancient House secret.  [sm=ofcourse.gif]

Celeste - who thinks [sm=banana.gif]is the funniest thing on Collarme.

i have to say a Merry Xmas to my ex Mistress in US... i still remember the time i had Her as a guest at my place, i almost felt that i was going to die underfoot when She trampled me. She made my shrinking fantasy come true, as She was 3X the size of me...!!! Merry Xmas F/folks!!

I do not often comment on these sort of things, but sometimes I feel I must, if it helps to people to feel younger than they are then fine, but I think if you are going to or wanting to take it seriously, you should really point out that your serious.

Whaaaaaaa????

I think being censored in a BDSM forum is pretty hilarious. Especially when it is done like a vendetta against a member that contributes greatly to help others.

Helping others does not make someone immune from our rules rules here.  I'm sure your friend told you how she was warned about her behavior multiple times yet continued on violating the rules.  I'm sorry, but enforcing the rules after several warnings is not a vendetta, and getting her friends to claim so on her behalf isn't going to ghange the situation.  Not for the better, at least.

The funniest parts of CM (to me anyway) are the posts from people who demand to have things changed or revamped or whatever and complain "I'm a CUSTOMER DAMMIT....they need to take CARE of us because WE'RE the reason they even HAVE a job in the first place!!!!"

Honestly...those always get me rolling on the floor.

From the TOS:

Acceptable Use Policy: You agree and understand that Our Website permits You to use Our services in order to post content and to communicate with other Users. We are entitled to investigate and terminate Your membership if You have misused the Website, or behaved in a way which could be regarded as inappropriate, unlawful, or illegal. The following is a partial, but not exhaustive, list of the types of actions that are illegal or prohibited under this Agreement.

This seems pretty open ended and open to debate as to what defines these rules. I have seem plenty of mean here that has gone unnoticed and many able to say whatever they want. Who determines whats appropriate and how does a Moderator keep their subjective feelings out of their decisions? Just a question. Can you tell me what constitutes these infringements and who sets the crieteria? Also, are you censored too? How many are on these boards? How involved are the site owners? Are we able to contact them directly?

Thank you in advance for your reply.

How exactly are you interpreting this provision to mean that it's somehow subject to debate?  What this provision says is we can and will remove you if we chose and you act inappropriately according to our determination.

In return you get something that has monetary value for free and get to post here and participate on the personals side.

I understand you think you are attempting to help red, but given the provision you just cited, I think you should realize you may very well be doing quite the opposite.  We're here at their will.  It's their home and if they say please don't do that in my home....I fail to understand why people cannot grasp they mean it and simply stop.

I still get the giggles over the " Dear God why am I stuck with this awful cone?!  Why oh why oh why are they calling me this. Whine whine whine snot snot snot bitch bitch bitch" posts.

mnottertail -> RE: Whats the funniest part of CM?? (12/24/2007 9:37:44 PM)

I haven't any particular axe to grind here kids, but erhe is a little lassize faire thing here.......

First of all I am not defending Eleven, Eleven can do a bang up job with or without me, and I am a fly in terms of influence.....

So, here is the deal since we are slicing and dicing TOS as if each paragraph is the preamble to the Gettysburg address -----

YOU, AND/OR YOUR FRIEND HAVE AN EASY REMEDY:

1.6.        You may not unilaterally disregard any portion of this Agreement.  However, if there is a particular portion of this Agreement that You wish to avoid, You  may contact Us to negotiate a separate agreement BEFORE You use the Website.  We do not guarantee that such negotiations will be successful.  Nevertheless, if you wish to discuss your own personalized Agreement, please contact us or have your attorney do so.

I actually had to read the fuckin' TOS because of MODEleven and being moderated and there are a couple things you can do if you feel you must.....

But, before you sashay down this road, you and the poster in question are about as close a friends as me and Mod11...........

Don't let the internet overwhelm you, unless you are snuffing that girls twat, you ain't close enough friends to be fucking around with this.

support is at the bottom of the page and you can copy 1.6 of the TOS and ask them for some redress of your grievance, based on that, and that will be the wrong place to go, but if you don't know the ONE to visit, then I am not going to help you, but even if you get my sub-reference, you aint gonna make no hay there.

However pissing and moaning on this forum against moderator eleven is clearly against the 1.6 TOS and I think it shows how long suffering the bitch is in the first place, so I would give it a rest, it is the fucking holidays kid........really.

Cordially, and in the christmas spirit,
Ron

ModeratorEleven -> RE: Whats the funniest part of CM?? (12/24/2007 9:38:17 PM)

I'm sorry, but i'm not going to go into detail to discuss how the forums are run.  Read the forum guidelines, the rules are pretty clearly spelled out there and 99.9% of the users here have no difficulty following them on a daily basis.  Your friend didn't and is suffering the consequences of her behavior and that's pretty much all there is to it.

As you've already emailed the support staff to try and plead her case for her, if they find any credible evidence of the "harassment" you claim, they'll bring it to the owners' attention.  There is no other way for users to contact the owners directly.

Merry Christmas.

I am not violating any terms.I havent commited illigal activities or even been impolite. I simply am exercising my rights. This has nothing to do with red but everything to do with what is legally right. You cant make stipulations but not stipulate what exactly that means. No one has been harrassed or stalked. No one has done anything illegal or spameed anyone. So what is inappropriate? These terms are all about protecting the site but who protects us if we dont protect ourselves?

This is part of the TOS:

13.5. The First Amendment Applies to Arbitration Proceedings. Any arbitration tribunal shall consider the First Amendment to the United States Constitution to be in force and effect between the parties. Both parties stipulate to the applicability of the First Amendment's protection of free speech, expression, and association, and both parties stipulate that case law interpreting the First Amendment shall be admissible and considered to be binding authority upon the Arbitrator.

All I have to say about that being in the provisions is

Hmmmmm????

Nobody has asked me to do anything for them. This has all been of my own regard for fairness. i respect everyone here.

perhaps if these posts were unblocked we would all see what is so offensive as to warrant such activity on the Moderators part.

I know things dont have to be fair and I can be blocked anytime too. But it wont be because any terms have been violated. Only because I may piss the wrong people off. So far, thats not part of the TOS but perhaps it will be added.

merry Christmas to all.

Unfortunately, you are forgetting there is more than just TOS:

http://www.collarchat.com/m_72/tm.htm#  There are seperate guidelines for the forums in addition to TOS

Here they are only in part; the link above is the whole list:

The following is a set of basic guidelines for participation on this message board. They are as they are titled - guidelines - meaning they are presented as a guide for acceptable activity here. Users are expected to abide by all they contain, though they are not hard and fast rules, and are not inclusive of all possibility. The administration of the Collarme.com Forum will be the final arbiters of all situations. (Added:  ModeratorEleven is administration on this forum)

The statements and considerations made in the - Terms of Service - notice are obviously applicable here. Keep age and the discussion of illegal activities particularly in mind.

Your choice to participate on this forum is an acceptance of its guidelines and the authority of its administration.

The primary intention of this board is to provide a forum for discussion and the exchange of ideas. Considering the natural diversity of opinion and expression, it is expected that disagreements will often occur. While debate is fine, postings of the sort generally known as "flames" is not. Participants are not expected to coddle one another, but they are expected to keep things within the realm of maturity.

This isn't a place to insult the kinks, preferences, lifestyles, etc. of others. If you don't like what another person enjoys, rest assured that there are plenty of others out there that probably don't like your activities either. Furthermore, baiting, harassment and personal attacks will not be tolerated.

Regarding the acceptability of various discussion topics - in most cases this will have to be determined based upon the essay in question, the content involved, and its particular form of presentation. Topics which are unacceptable regardless of circumstance include, but are not limited to - minors, bestiality, incest, necrophilia, snuff and criminal activities.

Collarme.com already provides ample resources for the creation of "personals" listings. This forum is not the place for such things. Nor is it permissible to attempt to drive traffic to other personals or dating sites by directing users or otherwise linking to such sites. Likewise, the spamming of advertisements of any kind will not be tolerated (the "Marketplace" and "Upcoming Events" sections are limited exceptions to this - further clarification is provided in the respective categories).

This isn't the place for the sharing of personal information. Do not post the names, addresses, phone numbers, email addresses, IM information, etc. of yourself or others. If you wish to exchange such information or make inquires in this regard, do so privately.

Questions regarding legal issues in reference to the BDSM scene are expected to arise from time to time. While discussion of these topics is somewhat acceptable, direct or veiled accusations against individuals is not. Keep the conversation limited to general terms and examples.

The administration has the authority to handle situations in whatever manner they feel to be in the best interests of the forum, at that moment, in response to that event. ( Added again:  ModeratorEleven is administration on this forum)

General discussion opinions expressed by individuals involved with the administration of this forum are not necessarily the opinions of Collarme.com itself.

Collarme.com makes no guarantees regarding the validity, quality or safety of any items/services offered for sale, trade or otherwise on this board. Any agreements made between individuals are the sole concern and responsibility of those involved. Such agreements are to be discussed and concluded in private, not on the forum itself.

Any questions regarding this board should be sent to the forum's administration through the - Collarme.com Support - service. Please open your letter with - "Collarme.com Forum - Questions."

So, the site owners pick the administration of this forum, of which ModeratorEleven is a part.  Seems pretty cut and dried to me; and this is in addition to TOS.
