My best part of 2007 was a couple of weeks spent with .dark. and Darcy and their family, a truly memorable time for me in a dark time, a time I will never forget and a new definition on what friends are. Never before have I encountered such people as they and as a result, they have me as a friend for as long as they desire. And .d. if you are reading this, did you like your elf?

2007 was a year of unexpected changes, things I hadn't planned on doing but ended up doing anyway.

I moved to Virginia and bought a new home there
I started a new company
I became closer to some family I barely knew
I learned some sobering truths about some family I should have known better
I broke down a lot of walls
I took on some of the biggest challenges yet of my life
I turned 40... and was still mistaken for a 22 yr old... three times
I spent six months living in a motel in between moving and having the new house ready (which I gutted and remodeled)
I made a lot of new friends... and no enemies
I ended up on the news... for something good
I made some important connections that will help with my future
I learned to do new things, as well as learning to do some old things better
I flirted a helluva lot!
I helped some others to make their own lives a lil better
I spent a lot of time with one submissive in particular

But the best thing about 2007 would be... despite all the ups and downs, the unexpected, the unplanned, the seemingly endless list of things that went wrong, a few betrayals, and everything else that came my way... I'm still standing here grinning.  I took everything 2007 could throw at me and I gave back more than I got.  The best thing about 2007 was it reminded me just how cool it is... to be ME.  That might sound a lil cocky, and it is... but dammit... I earned it!

I hope 2008 is at least half as much fun, terrifying, thrilling, challenging and enlightening for all of you as 2007 was for me.

The Twilight Zone marathon. Rod Serling is a incredible creative. He wrote something like 90 episodes of TZ, that's inspiring. On the other hand he died at 50.

Hey, it's cool when turning forty one gets mistaken for being younger.I turned forty myself this year, but age is in the mind have a young outlook and you will appear younger.

Plus the fact that at this age one can do all the fun things as any younger age,but tempered with maturity.

Bipolar, true, and a year from now he'll be moving his stuff out of the White House.
Let's hope we get a President who will do his job and enforce our laws and realise that as well as a separation of church and state we need a separation of big business and state as well!
