Next to your head during a scene-would it distract you terribly?

Potentially; but hopefully all these years of meditation would pay off if it were part of a scene, otherwise there would be injury and deafness.

Gimme 100 rats instead of 2 spiders.....must've been those heinous wood spiders I grew up with, but I can't handle 'em.  And I'd take a ton of snakes, too, rather than 2 spiders.

As a side note, one of the best reasons to have a man around is so he can kill any spiders that come up.

A jar of spideys? Oh hell if I thought ONE spidey was crawling around the room it would distract me. Hard limit.

Watch out!  It would be such a shame if you were to be schmoooshed by a speeding beer truck....All of that wonderful cum catching hair down the drain.  Pity.

*sighs*  snakes are definitely cool.  My pet said a jar of spiders would be thrown out the window whether the window was open or closed.  This brings to mind the jar being thrown at a closed window, breaking and letting all the critters out.
Although, he couldn't throw the jar if his hands were restrained... and he never did say "hard limit"....  I think he's afraid of snakes too..
*rubs her hands together*   "excellent".....(said in my best Montgomery Burns impression)

Hmmmmmmmmm...probably shouldn't do this then but I AM a mental sadist as well as a physical one;  do you know that my nephews brought home an interesting fact?  At any time, we are only 6 feet away from a spider?

It wouldn't bother me a bit. I have no phobias about insects, arachnids, snakes, etc.

i can't even look at a picture of a spider or touch a rubber or plastic one without losing it.  i have nightmares all the time about spiders....probably some fodder for some therapist i suppose.

o ... m ... g ... !
I yanked my feet up so fast my knees banged into the underside of the desk .... owww and EWWWW! LOL

As one who has awakened to newly hatched (and I swear it seemed like there were hundreds of them) "baby minions" crawling across the ceiling and walls of her bedroom - twice - <<shudders>>, I am with Bearlee ... out out you damn spiders - the bedroom is off limits!

As much as spiders completely creep me out - I still found myself reading this thread to the end ... though I did skip the pics, especially of the spider that can eat a mouse <<yikes>>!LOL

I also read somewhere that on average each person swallows, in their sleep, 18 spiders each YEAR. How on earth do these scientists come up with such data?

you lot should really live here. it's not uncommon for me to turn on a light in a pitch dark room and catch a spider on the wall, frozen, hoping i haven't seen it. easily the size of my palm. hairy legs. lots and lots of hairy legs. if he's not too close to the switch, i just turn it back off and we each pretend we didn't see the other. works for me, works for it. when i see it during the day time, we have an agreement, that as long as he stays within sight and away from me personally, he can stay there and i'll stay well away from killing him. so far so good. fortunately, this RARELY happens in my bedroom.
