Valyraen had no problem using the toys I already had and enjoying me in outfits that I already owned. Going out and buying duplicates would be, in our minds, simply a waste of money as all the insertables are only used on me.

I advise submissives/slaves to have their own toy bag because I found having my own to be such a blessing when I wasn't settled down, or even in the early stages of a relationship. I would simply bring over my bag and go "You can do whatever you like with anything in this bag". When I explained this to a dominant I met once, he expressed that he wished more submissives/slaves did this.

That is how I feel, unless something is very special or unique.
New relationship means new toys, for ME.

IF it is something very expensive or very unique, I might consider it
after it has been sterilized.

If the toys are of good taste i.e. quality, then it wouldn't bother me to reuse them. I also wouldn't mind showing you how they where really meant to be used. After all, it's not the toy but how I use it that will make it all new to us.

I would not feel like less of a person because anyone already had some toys/tools whatever. It would get awefully expensive buying new each new relationship

I personally think that the dom is full of it. I also think that how one feels is how one feels and I can always not play with them should I not agree with them.l bought every single item in my toybag nobody bought it for me, and if they're not mature enough to handle me coming to them with toys that have a history then pppppppfffffft on them.

If I got rid of everything that would remind me of an ex when a relationship ended... well that means I have to buy a new car, all new clothes, buy a new bed, stop listening to any music they introduced me to, get rid of a lot of my DVDs (I'm big on watching movies together) and never go the same vacation spots that I went to with them. I'd also have to avoid particular stretches of highway since I traveled them to go see my ex.

Speaking as a slave that has her own toy collection, it would seem to make sense to me that a new Dom or Master would at least use some of the toys I have. And it helps my peace of mind also, as I *KNOW* where all of these toys have been and what's been done with them. A fair proportion of them I even crafted myself.

On the other side of the coin, I'm not nearly as happy about having a new Dom or Master use HIS toys on me, since there's no way of knowing whether they've been properly cleaned (and some items really can't be effectively cleaned of some things).

Actually the most painful and intense memory trigger of an ex I ever had was when Valyraen and I were driving somewhere out of state. Little did I know, we would be traveling along a stretch of highway that I had only ever driven while visiting my ex. It was a miserable hour for me because each landmark we came across reminded me of the trips I used to make to go see him, how excited I used to get, the dumb phone calls I would make en route because I got lost or just wanted to let him know where I was, the good times we had I got there, the friends I made through him that I had to lose contact with because he didn't want me to come back up...

The way back was a lot easier, thank goodness.

If they're thinking about others while you're playing with them then I think you must not be doing a very good job. For me it doesn't matter if andrew or queen elizibeth bought the toy, if the tops doing a good job I aint thinking about anything but them.

For me the question is her buying him new toys for his use....in my situation, we both have big toybags, but the buying of toys together, or gifting of new toys is part of the fun, but certainly not ok for just one to buy , too damned expensive...on the other hand if he wanted me to buy toys for him only,, I would go to the dollar store or dom depot.. so many things can be pervertible and fun and "throwaway". But to spend hundreds and hundred of dollars for a new set every time, well it would obviously make people like me very happy(toymakers/sellers) but I wouldnt recommend it.
Does he bring any toys to the relationship?

Lol, my thoughts EXACTLY! To answer everyone's questions, i purchased EVERYTHING myself. He contributed NOTHING to my goody bag except suggestions.
