Taggard, would it not be better to try and help her understand and perhaps educate her, as her questions although frequent have been very good ones.(?)

It's interesting that you said this because I've always gotten the feeling that my 18 year old daughter and taken could be one in the same person.

Ok, this is what I think bothers me the most about her.  I just don't buy that she is a 47 year old woman.  Her story just does not fit with her writing style, attitude, and content.  If she was a naive 18 year old, I might think she had a place here, to learn and to grow.  But what hope is there for a 47 year old woman?  I don't see her trying to learn, she doesn't understand when she has nothing to contribute, and, perhaps worst of all, her attitude engenders hostility.

Again I wouldn't ever try to kick anyone out.  There is an ignore feature I could use (though I never have and doubt I ever will).  These things tend to blow over...

RCdc -> RE: Contracts (1/11/2008 7:26:07 AM)

Yeah, thats all cool Taggard, but your not exactly going out of your way to 'drive' her out are you?

Some other people obviously are and are trying to blacklist a persons name - and that is what it is amounting too.  We all know cliques and groups exist on a forum - its all cool and that is what makes stuff work hey and some people like to be seen to be 'popular' and need the stability of group mentality - but when it's really pointedly obvious that one particular group is picking on one person, then I really don't care what shit is posted to other posters AND I don't see the point of the same people repeating that there are these 'emails'(cue atmopshericmusic)  over and over.  We don't know what other people are emailing back - neither do people want to know.  I don't need some white knight brigade telling me who to like, who to read and who to avoid and who are good posters and contributers to the board because of some etheral 'emails', and waste my time sifting through crap to get to read what you and John have to say, or miss Osides cool post.
It's like.... mommy look what the bad persons doing... wahwahwah.  These are grown up people for gods sake, grown ups that I have now discovered I cannot trust emailing because if I did say something they don't like, it's going to be posted all over a message board and possibly twisted.
Fortunately, I don't write emails crapping on anyone[;)] Not my kink hey.
So yeah, we do learn shit from these board, but not necessarily what people want us to.
Go figure hey.

Aww lol actually Jeff, I think I quoted from the "Forums" thread that particular quote. Please don't ask me to go back to find it! lol I had a hard enough time going through the jello and the chocolate flinging the first time <g>

I am with you 100%.  I don't care about the emails, and I don't want to be in a clique.  I probably wouldn't even be wasting my time on her at all, if there was something more interesting to discuss (but is that her fault?  I think not.).

Like I said, these things blow over...  She will either learn, or vanish, or continue to do the same thing and we will all just get used to it.  I vanish for months at a time, but I always come back...the circle of life (on the fora).  *smile*

Yeah Jeffff, you have been posting some serious posts this week hey - do I need to go pull the nurses uniform?
Check your temp?  Your pulse?
Are you feeling ok?

Dnomyar -> RE: Contracts (1/11/2008 7:39:33 AM)

On this one Im going have to stand up for the ones being flammed. Why is everyone getting riled up over words. Be glad that some people are allowed to post anything on here. Ahem some of us arent.  If there is something that you dont agree with then ok. Dont flame someone who has a different point of view. No one is being forced to read anything  being posted. Now everyone line up and bend over my knee. All of you so I dont miss anyone.

Fast Reply to no one in particular...

The scene opens with John having reached the ripe old age of eighty, talking to his grandchildren who are gathered at his feet...

"Children, I remember when there used to be a thread about "contracts" here."

The children gasp, then giggle at the aged fool.

Wow, Me too! I haven't been here in over a year and yep, that circle of life continues <s>

Jeff, you are prolly right about this thread being pulled, I hope that they will consider keeping the really educational responses. I don't normally use contracts but I view them in a whole new light now.

John,
My apologies for interupting such a wonderful and educational thread. I believe that you had some very interesting things to say about contracts and don't for one second think that we werent reading your posts. Well I won't speak for the masses <s> But *I* was reading what you and the other posters had to say about contracts.

KatyLied -> RE: Contracts (1/11/2008 7:46:47 AM)

John always has interesting things to say.

Mercnbeth -> RE: Contracts (1/11/2008 7:47:45 AM)

Since it seems this hijacked truck of a thread is already a few miles down the road, I thought why not jump on and ride it a few miles.

We can all remember a litany of profile names that have graced these boards. I think the last poster drawing similar disdain and discourse was 'Bob'. You have to remember what kind of site CM is. It comes up in an search for those seeking sadism/masochism. Where better, for a masochist to get 'beat up'? Is there a better method than the one being employed?

Then again it could be another manifestation of the position I hold regarding this site. CM is a grad student/students project. Every so often they introduce another character to advance their thesis and manipulate the group dynamic.

beth thinks it is some computer geeks with time on their hands who enjoy playing with us 'freaks'; who every so often take another hit and say; "okay, okay, okay, {puff puff - exhale} okay...Dig this. What if we create a 47 year old woman who asks remedial questions, and takes any response not starting with "I agree ..." as an attack? {puff puff - exhale} YEAH - that would be fun!"

How difficult is it for that bait to not be taken by the sadists among us, especially those listed as 'submissive' in their profiles? Plural, because most have at least two profile persona's - right?

I wonder what my percentage is.  If I am feeling particularly sadistic one day, maybe I will make one of my slaves go over all my posts and tell me how many were serious.  I am thinking probably close to 50%...maybe a bit less.

*LOL*  No need to apologize at all.  Frankly, I've become so adept at weeding out the static that I hadn't even been aware of the ongoing issue.   But when I noticed, it seemed to be a never ending story in search of an ending.  This was just my contribution to provide a humorous jumping-off point.

Carry on.

John.I always read your posts with intrest.....they are well reasoned and well presented. thus allowing me to go on my merry way of goofiness and derailment
