Im confused by your claim that someone said that the man that came up with that quote was paranoid. I didnt see that anywhere, talked for a bit with Laurel about a man who poseted a thread a while back that was paranoid though... What that quote means to me is that Society is teaching people that there is something "unnatural" about being submissive... Which would suggest that we need *as a "Group"* to be wary of those individuals, and supportive of ones that feel guilty due to thier submissive urges... Im not suggesting at all that there are not people who fought through those and get to be themselves without guilt. Just that it seems like "normal" society wants to make them feel bad. Edit to add: does this quote sit better with you perhaps? The most important kind of freedom is to be what you really are. You trade in your reality for a role. You trade in your sense for an act. You give up your ability to feel, and in exchange, put on a mask. There can't be any large-scale revolution until there's a personal revolution, on and individual level. It's got to happen inside first. You can take away a man's political freedom and you won't hurt him- unless you take away his freedom to feel. That can destroy him. That kind of freedom can't be granted. Nobody can win it for you. - Jim Morrison
