We need to end all this "foreign aid" crap.
We're giving billions to Israel, Egypt and the Palistinians.

I've long come to the conclusion that Washington believes it is in its interest to keep the conflict going.

Get real, the Israelis have a military on par with large western European countries like Britain, Germany and France, the very idea that they could be defeated by the Arabs combined, never mind the Palestinians alone, is laughable. Most Arab weaponry, even when they have the numbers, are obsolete and useless against the modern weaponry provided by the US to Israel.

So what? The fact that Israel can’t be defeated (which is arguable) is beside the point. They are suffering casualties and have a natural human desire to protect themselves. If your neighbor’s kid is beating the crap out of your kid you don’t say to yourself (I hope), "ah, no worry... he can’t defeat my whole family."

As for the rest, we’re starting to go around in circles. If you want the last word, go ahead but I maintain that – regardless of who you hold responsible, Israel and the United States are not the only one who could change the course of this conflict. The Palestinians can too.

Yes, we're going around in circles but I will point this out, whenever there is a peace plan on the table the Palestinian death rate goes up. Could it be because Israel wants to undermine any peace plan? America is about the only country in the world who doesn't think so. Oh Blair didn't believe it either but he had one thing in common with American leaders, he was a religious nut.

Israel's tactics are obvious to anyone who knows a modicum about western imperial history. The British used this tactic of making overtures for peace and then breaking their word and blaming the otherside. Hell, you're American, the US played this tactic against the plains Indians as it stole Indian land.
