It's a shame that this started out as a peaceful, informative thread. Rule, i am sorry that you have so much anger, and sincerely hope that being able to spew it all over an anonymous virtual forum acts to bring you peace in your personal life.

Anger? [:-] [8\|] It is true that these past years some emotion is returning to me, but it is like half a cup of sand compared to the Sahara desert. As far as I recall I have been angry once during the past 43 years, and that was last December when a now ex-friend committed serious fraud - and being that angry was quite a surpise to me. I have about as much anger or other emotions in me as a dead pocket calculator. Population genetics and natural selection are not subject to the emotions that you experience as so important to you. These algorithms are as inexorable as the tides and as gravity. You may protest as much as you want and be as angry or sad or tearful as you want, but the tide will rise at its appointed time. Whatever you say to king Canute the Great, he cannot stop the tide - and neither can anyone else. I recommend that you read the short story "The cold equations" by Tom Godwin.

Concerning latent homosexuality the Qur'an says there will besides female virgins also wait beautiful male virgins in paradise for men to serve them. There are also verses about males not having need for women.

You are quite right about the affinity Europeans have with Greek (and Asgardian) mythology. However, this thread is about muslim members of CM.

~shrugs~ I happen to be an expert in various fields. Other people are expert in other fields in which I am like a babe lost in the woods. I am a supergenius. As such a communication problem with ordinary people is to be expected. Most will call me crazy, a majority may want to murder me for telling them that they have warts on their whatever; infrequently, a miracle may occur when one single individual starts to wonder and perchance THINK. That miracle may end my lonely solitude.
