Absolutely nothing. That was the point. I was trying to explain to the OP why people would assume that those in to BDSM would also be satanist. There are people who think this way, silly as it is, and I spelled it out for him.

Hmmmmmmmmm....not sure.  I am a Methodist...have been since I was a wee one.  I believe in God and Christ which of course leads to a belief in Satan.  Does a belief in Satan make me a Satanist?  OMG...that would make me a God-fearing, Christian Methodist, Satanist???? 

Seriously...and just so there is no confusion...no.  I am not now, nor have I ever been, nor do I ever intend to be a Satanist.  But God...do I love spanking those female asses and tying those luscious femmes up so that I can indulge my SADISM a bit more intensely!!!!

Satan is a CHRISTIAN concept. Ironically, even members of the Church of Satan don't believe in Satan! They just use the image as a personification of their beliefs.

There is not such thing as satan. Or god for that matter.

However, I do study the occult and beneficial witchcraft, from the view point of a nature-loving, tree-hugging pagan.

This is the point I was trying to make. Whoever planted the idea to the OP that there is a correlation between people who practice fetish and those who worship Satan was obviously of the Christian persuasion - and not the normal Christians, with their eyes to the skies, like the ones who frequent this forum, but the scary ones with their head up their ass like I was.

What I don't understand, is why did so many of you dismiss this as a stupid question? Is it because the content was so ignorant, or that he had the audacity to post it, or just that you don't believe that people actually think this way?

I tried to cover this subject in my "When did you realize that you were fucking nuts thread." I can now see why it was moved to random stupidity....However, I also don't see the question as being as stupid as the majority who have chimed in.

I believe that bdsm does not represent the same "type" of people that you will find that in engage in many other activities.

As my alter ego "braniacsub" has already chimed in...Let me continue.

I have never met one ...Let me repeat, I have never met one person who proclaimed to be a Druid before my raft crashed on the shores of this world. Why wouldn't there be satanists who would explore bdsm? It seems like a fairly good fucking fit...If I considered myself in league with the Prince of Darkness I would think that having a few beeyatches around to serve me and do my bidding would be a rather unremarkable leap.

i have yet to read the profile of a satanist, but i'm sure the possibility is there. just thought i'd offer that being versed in occult doesn't make
you a satanist.  an atheist can be very knowledgable of theology. 

i did know in passing two satanist, that is followers of the church of satan, but i didn't know them well enough to know if they in the scene.

Most people on this site aren't anything as we are all individuals. Also those who live an alternative lifestyle is not the same as a fetish. My life happens not to be a fetish. Satan, or the concept of a ''beast'', is NOT a Christian concept. Eons before all 3 of the large monothestic religions were a twinkle in someone's eye mankind carried a belief that there was ''something'' evil out to take away the sun and mankind. After that came the concept of the ''something'' evil being out to destroy the Gods and mankind, making it rain, setting fires in the forest,  causing the general occasional havoc. Then along came Judiasm followed by Christianity and Islam. The ''something'' evil was then given a name and a history. Dante's Inferno is where we first see the concept of what Satan and hell are supposed (as in suppos-ed if you can get the difference in word meanings with the same word) to be; also a work of fiction by the way. Dante was not a Prophet but a writer.

Why I wasted the pixels here I am not sure because I still believe that you're talking out of your arse. On such a ridiculous question I see no need to state my religon though Satanism it is not.

Satanists is a form of anti Christianity I believe. Which means you have to believe in the teachings of Christianity to be able to invert them.

Being a Jew, I don't believe in Christian teachings or in the Christian view of Satan. Read the Book of Job and you'll see that God and Satan are friends who enjoy sparring with each other. Like friends who are cut throat on a golf course.
