I am comfortable in my skin(very comfortable, smiles). Everyone has the right to their opinion, no matter how misguided or not it is. Do I give a rat's ass what the OP or anyone else thinks of me, body-size wise, psychologically, or otherwise? No. I only care about those that are close to me, and that is only to certain extents, which is why they care as they do. I don't know about the rest of you, but I will not let someone whose values I don't know or care about induce me to dwell on their perceptions...

kc692

i have learned alot from the boards..and continue to learn. i am even interested in "misguided opinions" and how they were formed, whether they are common, etc. i try not to read each post as if it were written directly to me, and i try not to be emotional in reacting. i know i have failed in the past, but that too is something i have learnt.

i am interested in what other people think about a subject..i guess i'm a bit nosey. They may or may not add anything to my expressions of my values, but it's still interesting.

in my opinion..laughs..people are somewhat fascinated with BBW's and their thinking, excersize, beliefs, relationships, etc. i do not see this level of fascination with other women, who weigh closer to the "ideal".

i wonder why that is.

pinkpleasures

I don't know why, pink, and I am not taking what you said wrong, and don't mean this at you at all...but here goes:

We have the same range of thinking and varied thoughts and opinions, exercise plans, beliefs, relationships, etc. as those that weigh closer to the "ideal", as you put it. Again the average size of America is fast growing to 16, so maybe everyone is fascinated because we are BECOMING the ideal and if not the ideal, becoming the norm, smiles???

lovingmaster45 -> RE: BBW subs... I wonder (9/1/2005 6:15:36 PM)

If nothing else, this post definitely demonstrated that big women like to jump on skinny guys...lol.

Hope all the weight does not bruise the poor guy.

I don't think 16 is ideal in general and just because something is the norm doesn't make it a GOOD thing. Diabetes is fast becoming quite common a condition for overweight people, that doesn't mean it's ok just because a lot of people have it.

It is perfectly fine if you have the height and don't carry most of your weight at the stomach. M

G'evening all:

Obviously, I touched a nerve. Someone's insecurities are peeking out, lol. Temper, temper. I think someone needs a time-out. Perhaps English comprehension classes are in order as well? Tsk, tsk, tsk.... Such lack of control for a dom.

Stay safe, play nice, & share your toys w/ others....

i may as well be open about this; after my pic on profile was taken, i gained alot of weight. There is a thyroid defiency and it is probably at fault. Other things went haywire as well, and i need surgery (minor) on my esphogus. Meantime, ice cream seems to be a food i can count on not to cause problems, but i am gaining weight from it.

i am also in a fibromyalgia flare, so moving HURTS and continues to hurt after it ends. A trip through the grocery is a torment for me. it's just not feasible to begin an exercise regime again now.

How i wish i had the body i had in Sept '04, when that pic was taken. i KNOW i will eventually lose weight, but what's odd is that Men in general and Ones i have met here don't seem to care..they almost seem to prefer it.

i think women put alot of pressure on other women to attempt to look like Victoria Secret models...and i think many Men do not want that body type.

So whilst i return to my prevous size, i expect i will not have lost my sexual appeal at all.

Now i'd appreciate it if no one flamed me; but if You disagree, please don't rag on me for being ill...i am coping as well as possible.

Your comment has absolutely nothing to do with what I was trying to convey... not disagreeing with you... but irrelevant.

i was a size 16 in my pic on profile...i was not overweight then. 16 is what shows my face and body to best advantage, in my opinion. i have been a size 12 in recent years and look too thin.

No Sir; given a choice i would always choose a big Man. i think P/pl are attractive from the inside out, so a body type might not matter if He was truely a Man of Honor, but in general, i have always liked big Men.

i was 5ft7in at age 13 and have always been self-consious about my height. Big Men make me feel more feminine; and more protected, etc.

But as i have said, a Man is attractive from the inside-out.

Ok, I am not that big, but I really dont like skinny guys, not one bit.

Wow this thread has legs. Especially for a topic that has apparently already been beaten to death.

I wish there was just as much outrage over what we're paying for gas, as there is for this topic.

I am rather new...VERY new to the whole scene, but in the short time i have spent being nurtured by my Mistress and reading about the lifestyle, i find so many getting hung up on the physical aspects - the proportions of the Dom/Domme and the sub, and the listed preferred interests/activities of same.

What i have surmised so far.

Domination is about control, not power. Power is a method by which one exerts control and it should be the Dominant's responsbliity to temper the power He/She exerts over their respective sub(s).

Submission is about relinquishing one's will, not having it broken, by the abuse of power. It is to be savored. it should be a slow process where each twist and turn is taken in and enjoyed.

Type 2 Diabetes is one of the largest medical problems for our children and youth here in Australia. Obesity is a major problem with our young too. Besides the obvious problems with obesity from a health and sociological situation, the matters are compounded by the fashion and other advertisements hammering away on the TV and print media depicting the “Ideal” female as being sylph like figures (More like skinny females a tad too bony to be realistic for my liking. Easy though when they can make a 14 year old to look like 18 or so). Then we get those brain washed to believe they are fat and so commences another spate of eating disorders creating life threatening situations… Doesn’t pain a good picture does it. I’m guessing that this fixation of slim model looking women is causing far more grief than most people realise. Certainly amongst the males in the general community.

No amount of social and cultural expectation issues will ever change the fact that being overweight is not healthy and that just because a LOT of people end up being overweight doesn't mean it's an ok or GOOD thing.

luvdragonx -> RE: BBW subs... I wonder (9/3/2005 11:47:32 AM)

I think the biggest problem with society's weight issues is that many confuse Weight with Health. If you are healthy, then you're healthy, how much you weigh or what size you wear doesn't (shouldn't) matter. Are there some size 8 women out there in worse health than I am? You betcha. Are there some size 18 women in better shape than I am? Probably so.

This girl thinks this is the most accurate thing said in this entire thread. One's health and physical ability and strength et all don't necessarily correlate to one's weight, per se. If you carry a good deal of muscle, as this girl does, you naturally..weigh more than the h/w standards put out by the government...however one's clothing size is a very good indicator of ones health...especially one's waist circumference. This girl has a number of female friends who weigh less than she does but have a much larger waist...belly fat is statistically the bad fat of the body for many correlating health problems.
So her advice would be stop weighing yourself and start measuring yourself. A quick google can give you a good statistic accuracy for your height of what your proportions should be....and proportionary size is a very good indicator of health.

AbstractSavant -> RE: BBW subs... I wonder (9/3/2005 2:55:04 PM)

I think a lot of the problems in this world would be solved if people stopped worrying so much about how other people choose to live, and worried more about how their own behavior and words are effecting other people.

I'm very much in the campaign of "to each their own".

Every body type and personality type has a match, and I can only wish happiness on every person.

I am an overweight woman, due to a combination of reasons...heredity, hypothyroidism, depression, emotional eating...Hell, I qualify as morbidly obese, easily.

However, for the past six months, I have lost 40lb just by becoming more active. In the last month, I have begun a strict eating plan and work out 4-6 days a week.

But I'm sure people on the street can't tell these things. They still judge me as a lazy, undisciplined, unhealthy and disgusting retch on society.

So that's why I say...mind your own sodding business. You have no idea how people live their lives just by looking at them. If you're not attracted to someone because of how they look...move on. Get over it, and go looking for that person you ARE attracted to.

What you say is correct M. One can see if they are at risk by determining their Waist to Hip Ratio . Apple body types are more likely to suffer health risks due to excess weight then Pear body types.

In the end, it is in everyone’s interest to be healthy, certainly. I have shed now 65lbs in the last year with the goal of being healthier. I have also revised my nutritional habits and gotten a great exercise routine. Not every thin person is in shape btw!

I have to say I'm always surprised when the health card gets played on threads such as this one. I've been staying away from it for a while and I know I'm going to kick myself in the ass later for posting this but if a man was concerned with my weight because he was worried about the long term effects and he was concerned about taking care of me medically, I would say he was looking out for himself and setting boundaries and that would be fine. But the problem is that most men who criticize women for being too big are more concerned about how it doesn't fit into their aesthetic ideal.
