Does your "other" choke you on occasions, or do you do the choking? What do you think about this kind of play? Is it for you or not? If so, please tell me how you do enjoy it... if not, why you don't.

I don't like it. It is a hard limit for me. No negotiation on it.

My first b/f choked me several times. He was totally inexperienced, and he knew absolutely nothing about "finesse." He just put his hand around my throat and squeezed until I started turning blue. I was scared half to death, and I had bruises I had to cover up with scarves for a week or so.

Granted that an experienced Master would probably not be as ham-handed about it as this guy was, but it created a trauma within me that reacts very strongly when any type of breath control is tried on me.

Sorry that happened to you.

I love breath play personaly. From both ends.. but it is rare I bottom to someone so I am usualy from the top of things.

I do on times start to choke my subbie but I know the limits and he hasn't said banana yet so I figure we are still in the black. For me I think it has something to do with the controll I have over him and his life.

no choking. iron clad hard limit. my dad works at an emergency room as a security guard. emt's brought in a lady about two years ago, accidentally choked to death by her hubby "in the heat of the moment". too risky for me to mess with, i don't want to take the chance.

I've discovered it isn't the choking so much as the neck play that gets me. Kissing my neck, biting my neck, wrapping his big hands around my throat, or conversely around the back of my neck - it's all good. But we don't go to the point of passing out, just having him holding me like that is enough to get me to puddle. Shrug, what can I say, my neck is a definite erogenous zone.

personally i adore breath play. Quite the feeling of utter helplessness and vulnerability. Not to mention the restriction of oxygen can lead to some incredibly intense orgasms. Do i really even need to add that first a great deal of trust must be established? i might be a bit crazy, but am certainly not stupid nor entirely careless with my safety.

Absolutely enhances the play. Breath play has to be done carefully. I use a timer for this if a hood or other instrument is used. With partial air constriction the timer isn't needed.

I have never passed out from breath play. Its done for a few seconds at a time. Its not a game to see how long we can cut off the subbies oxygen supply. I have held ny own breath for longer.

That's right lusciouslips....it's done for seconds at a time...and may be done a few times for the sub to drift into a euphoric state. As for orgasms with breath play....grins.

By the way i'm not suggesting people just run out and try it. It takes a bit of research and care.

you havent tried that yet?

for those that havent seen the other thread, one method of breathplay is to kiss you sub while pinching their nose. you can breath freely through your nose, and they will feel you breath on their skin, and you can give them some air from your lungs when you want...

Come on Gwyn, go grab a sub and try it out, it is very hot (at least to me it was)

I love breath play. It is not, however, something that I recommend to others. It is highly dangerous; no matter how much training you have in this area, you still can not think of all areas that WILL AND COULD go wrong.

Yes i love it when my Master 'chokes' me. He does in in many creatibe ways.
The best is when He places His hand on either side of my wind pipe, slides it along my throat and forces my head back. It is slow and sustained and it is used as a form of control to control me and to stop me kissing Him. Kissing is also used as a form of control and when i get one it is divine.
Or He chokes me by pulling me from behind by the back of my collar. That's used when He steals a kiss or wants to whisper something in my ear.
Choking feels primtive and i like primitive.
I have just returned fom a scene today where I topped a woman: it was her first woman on woman experience and I used choking on her.....gently oh so gently but surely (so its intention was not to restrict breathing too much, (more to move her head and restict her gaze).

I LOVE having my One's hands around my throat.

I will sometimes get non-visible bruises where I can feel the impression of his fingers when I speak or swallow, though my skin will not outwardly be marked. Bonus points when that happens.

I would have to agree with this...I too LOVE anything to do with the neck.

So needless to say, I'm all for choking...done correctly that is.
