Status: offline 		Did 10 years active duty ARMY.  It was some of the best and worst times of my life.  Went to Kuwait first time around got out before the second.


My blessing for a safe return to all the GIs still there.

me, with 12 years as an active duty soldier and every Dominant i have ever been involved with, from my first, a career soldier, to my current Master, an Army veteran.

I served in the 70's.  Instructor at the Signal School in Ft Gordon, as well.!!!

What a small world!!  i went through the Signal School at Ft. Gordon in Nov. '74 -May '75, 05C, Radio TTY.  i went in as a WAC and completed basic at Fort McClellan the end of Oct. '74.  Then, went over to Germany for a few years and had the time of my life.  i even loved being out in the field for REFORGER and WINTEX.  i really miss the people i served with.  Some were jerks but, mostly, they were the best people in the world.  i would share a foxhole with any one of them and not be worried about them being there to watch my back.  It's been hard for me to find people like that in the civilian world, outside of veterans, that is.

Status: offline 		I served basic training in the Israeli army two years ago... I thought it was hell on Earth at the time but in retrospect it was the most amazing thing I have ever done.

I went to MP school at Ft. Gordon and I'll tell it was the Battle Royale between Signal and the MP!  Those were the days!
 
My first duty station was Ft. Ord and it was there I was introduced to the lifestyle at the tender age of 19.  Tact SGT at PLDC tried to break me by calling me out all the time.  He made my life miserable as hell.  I swore, when I was on patrol in the AO of the academy I would catch him doing something I could get him for and when I finally did (parking in a yellow zone) he came out of the office just as I was putting the ticket in the windhield.  I asked him why he harassed me so, he said it was because he was attracted to me and he thought everyone could see it.
 
He said I was dominate and fearless.  One thing lead to another, I got invited to a party his "club" was having and the rest is history.  The club turned out to be a group of ProDommes/Doms and he was the Master. 
 
I never was involved in the "professional" side of things but I began to learn that the thoughts I had growing up were not crazy and I wasn't nuts.  I became his Lady and together we made a great Dom/Domme couple.
 
I went to MPI school in Ft. McClellan in 1978.  I agree with what most people have said.  I have yet to meet the great people I did in the military.  I had my moments being an African American woman in a Army that was just opening certain fields to women.  I would often get, "you got selected (for whatever) because they can kill two birds with one stone". 
 
Overall... it was a great experience!  The BIG plus was---as a squad leader I had the chance to boss around 20 men as I strutted my stuff in combat boots, spit shined to blind.

Status: offline 		Slavegirljoy, congratulations, 12 years active…I must admit I am curious, after twelve years what prompted your separation?  I only ask because I too crossed the reenlistment bridge many times, in fact I enlisted at age 19 and separated  after turning 49. The Marine Corps was natural for me, I found a place of belonging, and after my first tour of duty in Nam re enlistment wasn’t even an option for me.

I want to thank everyone who responded to the thread.  The point of which was to show that there is a lot of military, past and present, who are in the lifestyle.  There's a lot of support for those currently serving.  I just wanted some folks to have a chance to see that.

My father was an officer and pilot in AF during WWll, 2 brother in Army during VietNam.
My daughter just discharged after 15 years as an officer in the AF.
My son-in-law is a Major, AF.

Becoming a mommy.  The thought of leaving my baby girl for several months just made me say, "Thanks but, no thanks.  It's been great but, it's time to go and be there for this little girl i brought into the world."  It would have been great to stay but, i knew that i couldn't give 100% to both the Army and my daughter and one or the other would get less than they deserved and it wasn't going to be my baby.

Thank you for your service.  And, i know the feeling.  As soon as i was in Basic, i felt at home, for the first time in my life.  It felt natural to me and i never could understand what so many of the "girls" in my platoon were belly aching and crying about.  It was like summer camp, to me.  i loved everything about it, except for getting up at 4:00 AM to pull guard duty around the motor pool and KP but, that was only one time each, so no big deal.  i especially loved Drill and Ceremonies and going to the rifle range and the night march.  i got into the best shape of my life and finally learned how to be disciplined.

Of course, you separating from the military and I honor you both for your service and as a mother. You not only served our nation but in your child, you insured its furtherance. it's a scary feeling, and yeah i hated the times when my ex Master was in the field, i'm so glad i didn't have to go through Iraq and Afghanistan while worrying....*Then again, my ex Mistress and i would have probably had a blast if it had actually happened*

Status: offline 		I spent 25 years in the service of my country, the first 3 82nd airborne, the rest special force until I was hurt bad and spent the rest at Fort Benning training the first group of females that came Thur jump school.Like Someone said it was the best and the worst..Would I do it again probably so...I was in many country's and did taste the delights of bdsm from all around the world.....especially Germany and Holland and not to forget Thailand or the Philippines...

Guess I'll weigh in myself.  Currently active duty.  Just really trying to get out there and discover my kinks at this point.  So I'm the new guy all over again.  I know there's plenty of other kinksters out there in uniform.  How does one approach that subject though?

Status: offline 		I am a proud military brat...in fact..not just my dad was inthe military..10 of my 14 cousins (two are women) ....all of my Dominants are current or former military men....a few of my male subs have been....I know mothers who have lost childern to war....brothers and sisters...cousins...Military people tend to be like pagans in the BDsM communities (FOR ME) they cross over....its hard to go to any gathering and not run into some one from both groups...

Status: offline 		       I'm ex-Air Force.  Two uncles who served in Vietnam, two brothers currently in the National Guard after active duty in the Army.  According to the family historian, I also had ancestors representing both sides at Appomattox Courthouse.
