If CM cost say...$10.00 a year. Who would pay?..who would leave? Could improvements unimagined be made to the site? As I understand it, most of the work here is done by volunteers or funded by the owner of the site. Maybe I am out of line, I am just thinking, or typing, out loud Jeff

I would definitely pay to stay. Alt and AFF are like 15 a month for the cheapest membership, and sloooooowwwwwwwwwww.........and I think the volunteers and owners are awesome for all the work they have to fit in their regular lives, not to mention the money the owners must have to fork out every month.

Yes but they make much deneiro as well, have you noticed the adds,I would pay a fair price but they would have to easy up on all the moderation of posts after all this is an adult site...Just make it a paid adult site and be done with it... have gold memberships at both alt and bondage ....I will soon leave bondage...It sucks lately....

I would definitely pay. The models I have seen work the best make the payment optional. Some people just don't/won't/can't pay, and I would hate to lose the diversity that we have here. New people, for example, might be less inclined to join. That being said, the voluntary payment situation works well for some forums, and not so well for others. I would think we have enough of us here who do value CM enough to kick in some bucks, and maybe a few more for those who can't afford to.

Alt has sucked for a while.and as for the modding..shrugs......it seems to be mostly ok......... all things considered.......without ANY modding...it would get ugly Jeff

You talk about moderation, when I put up a post in alt or aff, it takes up to 24 hours, for it to post, so they make sure their auto filters catch emails, etc, anything they think may mess up their pay.

Being a free site, people are willing to be a lot less grumpy when things are slow. Also, because there's no serious investment of time, money, or risk associated with giving out your credit card, you have a larger pool of people to pick from. Finally, women tend not to be as willing to pay to join sites the way men are. I think the site would become even more of a sausage party than it already is, I think. Stephan

But if as some have said, have more features for those that pay, etc, like more pictures, and other things, would still enable everyone to stay on, and he said something like a nominal yearly fee, not a monthly one.

I post on boards that are not heavily moderated and everyone gets along pretty well. There are meltdowns and arguments from time-to-time but rarely is someone put on post restriction. I guess it finds it's own level of goofy/dysfunction or something like that. New people sometimes get flamed, but if they stick it out, they become part of the experience. There's no where for them to whine so they soon learn to grow up.
