They are very interesting thoughts and I will admit mine tend to run in the same vein but for different reasons. I did a posting once on alt. torture about Safe, Sane and Consensual and how that gets promoted without the qualifiers. "Not Always Sane, Not Always Safe, Not Always Consensual...but definitely On The Edge and In Control." as very little of WIITWD would be considered SSC by anyone not part of this world. Serial Killers take that last step, and unfortunately they have stalked our hallowed halls of BDSM for victims. Perhaps none so sweet as those who willingly waltz into the fly trap. A sexual sadist is a Sexual Sadist is a Sexual Sadist, we just hope the ones we find that answer our needs dont ever decide to take the next step or trip over the edge. Over and over these "Torture Porn" movies slap that message down on the public plate. Serial Killers look just like everyone else, you can't tell by their eyes, they don't look like Quasimodo and some good deeds can be punished very harshly indeed.
A long time ago I published/posted a serial (old usage of the word 1-2 chapters a day) on usenet called Fantasy or Reality. It covered nearly every perversion, fetish or act short of pedophilia and murder. People volunteered to have their nicks used in the story, gave me their fetishes and dared me to do my worst. I ended up stranded in CA, and was trying to get back home to FL in the middle of that story. To get me home and back to writing they literally passed me from hand to hand across the country until they had enough together for a bus ticket to take me the last of the way home. I still have it if anyone wants a copy and it is searchable on googles archive site. Why did I bring this up..oh yeah, the story took them where they wanted to go but couldn't and survive (at least without a highly skilled person doing it) or where they could not find a partner to take them. Serial Killers rarely seem to have that hesitation. Perhaps that is why so many are fascinated with them, they dare to do, what many only dream of, at leasst those who would consider being in jail on death row an inconvenience.
