there are some 1st editions I have, and a couple of the 'publisher only no public release' copies of some books I love, but hey, I can live without them...
the guitars I can understand... :) (not knocking your choices, understand..)

I think we've had threads like this before... but in the event that my family was safe and sound, I'd grab my passport and not much else!

actually. I am not one who loves his guitars.  I love the guitar, but the are not my babies  or my princess. At best it may be my bitch..lol... having said that I have a particular acoustic that I believe has " magic in that box" and an electric that I have tweaked to perfection. As for the books....well I am gonna want to read something trapped in the hotel room..:)

even more priceless would be the look on the adjusters face, as i would be certain to wear my sweetest, most innocent look!

It can be so much fun to be a walking contradiction.  Somehow i doubt it is just me...

In the event of a fire, I have everything I need at hand (passport, credit cards etc... all in one bag incase I need to alternative accommodation that needs paying for) and the only thing left for me to do is round up my cats and ensure they are safely in their carrier.

I'm not a collector of things and place little value in material items b/c these can always be replaced. What is most important is that my boy, my cats and myself are out safely and neighbours are alerted.

They DO recommend you provide the insurance company with photographic evidence of your possessions.

Heck, I might set fire to my place just for the fun of seeing the insurance adjuster's face.

No, but I think it would be good to prove that it was an item you actually possessed and not some photo you got off the internet.
