yes but once they eat the food...they go play their video games.  thats MY POINT.  healthy eating or not makes no difference.  the fact remains... kids are NOT as active as they used to be.  this doesnt mean ALL kids.  for instance you were not one of them.  exercise is important.  you watch some of our canadian commercials and you'll see what i mean.  there are several out now about non active kids having to have surgeries so young and dying before they turn 18 because they are fat, in active.  the point of the commercials is to get the kids to go out and exercise.

It is the inaction of the parents, the failure of the parents, to regulate their children's eating and video game habits.

What if you want to ban people who have bones showing or people who are to skinny.  And what if you love seeing bbws.

I agree you can send them outside for some running around time, and then when they come in they may sit down to play the games.

it is about temperance in all things..

actualy being a parent and caring about what the kids ( and you) put into thier body, and what they are doing.

making healthy food doesnt have to be expensive and take a long time.. but it does take getting up off your butt and preparing it.. and learning how to if you dont already. Food network  http://www.foodnetwork.com/ and healthy eating http://www.healthyeating.net/he_1.htm are great resources.

being active.... go for a walk with the kids, disconnect them from the video games for a bit.. limit thier in take of TV and Gaming. Go to the pool together... bike... walk the dog... You can control what your kids do... and what you do for that matter. Yes you will be horrible awful parents who no longer love your children. *smiles* but they will be healthy, better adjusted, have more time to study... and not little game geeks full time.

Gwyn
