An altered state of consciousness, one of many.

Last for days?  It's rare, and likely it's more a hazy high sort of thing, but certainly possible.

greeneyedreamer -> RE: Subspace..... (3/8/2008 7:07:49 PM)

Ok... a question I may have missed after reading a lot of the posts.. but here goes... Is subspace only attained through pain? Or is it also attained through other means, such as bondage, serving, etc...? Just a question... not too clear on that part... Dreamer

hopelessfool -> RE: Subspace..... (3/8/2008 7:18:49 PM)

I go to sub space the second my gspot is hit three or four times in a row, a haze goes over me my eyes get glassy my cheeks get flushed, its very wonderful to see ^_^ and feel ^_^

So It can be gained in many ways, Ive never gotten it through pain, only through pleasure... So far that is.

SteelofUtah -> RE: Subspace..... (3/8/2008 7:21:48 PM)

then are you sure it is subspace?

Sub Space is usually clasified as a Dopamine drop in the cerebelum (Spelling sucks) It happens when you brain is unable to drop anymore Endorphines such as Dopamine and Seratonin.

(Again Sorry for the spelling)

Are you sure you are not just experencing Extasy?

As Always

cjan -> RE: Subspace..... (3/8/2008 7:25:37 PM)

I used to go to subspace, but now I prefer Quiznos.

KatsClaws12 -> RE: Subspace..... (3/8/2008 8:10:44 PM)

I mostly go to subspace through pain....which is really mostly pleasure that i durive from it all. I have known other subs who have gotten to subspace just from being in bondage. I think it might be different for everyone.
As far as lasting for days i would have to say that it is like what LA said that it is more of a natural high that you can ride on for awhile....its so wonderful. [:D]

Acutaully it does its the Inner wall just above the clitoral hood. The G-Spot is not the proper term for it but it is there and it does work.

SailingBum -> RE: Subspace..... (3/9/2008 1:10:01 AM)

The research seems to indicate higher not lower Dopamine levels might induce "subspace"
Dopamine
Brain chemicals are called neurotransmitters. Of the more than a hundred neurotransmitters now known, three are important for our purposes: serotonin, adrenaline, and dopamine, popularly referred to as the brain's "feel good" neurotransmitters. Whereas earlier mood brighteners like cocaine and amphetamines boost all three of these

Dopamine - A third neurochemical event that accompanies orgasm is a dramatic rise in dopamine in the reward center, which drops sharply after orgasm. Low dopamine can produce uncomfortable psychological effects

Serotonin is one of the oldest neurotransmitters in the evolution of life forms. In humans only about 5% of serotonin is found in the brain. The other 95% is distributed throughout the rest of the body. The majority is in the gastrointestinal tract

From that site

"The location, and even existence, of the G spot has been hotly contested in medical circles. While doctors know that female sexual anatomy varies substantially, until now there has been no solid evidence to link those differences to a woman's sexual responses.

Interesting site.  However one study will NOT convince the medical community.  It would literally take years to convince the established medical field that a G spot exists.  Thanks for the link.

Web MD does have a differing opinion. Whether or not you consider it a valid source is up to you.

G spot

A personal observation: I've read, at minimum, 300 romance novels in my life and never, once, has a single author used the term g spot. Are you sure you're talking about romance novels and not porn novels?

My knowledge is baised on what docs have told me.  They have freely admitted that there is a lot of conjecture on the subject but no evidence.

Yea that is citing the same link that Steel sent me.  Like I said  one study will not conivince the medical field.  Using your "logic" we should believe the studies that docs did for cigarettes and NOT causing cancer.
