I constantly get contacted by people who don't bother reading my profile. They just see a pretty face and try. When I point it out to them they get pissy and call me picky! I really hate it when someone immediately starts asking about sex. When I tell them that doesn't come first for me, they whine "but it's the important part of a relationship" and i retort "not to me". They state "but CM is a sex site", my reply "of course not, ask anyone in the chatroom!" Even if sex is important it doesn't mean you have to talk about it STRAIGHT AWAY! It's so damn frustrating and annoying!

I read profiles. I wish it were required that people actually SAY something about themselves in the profile. So many profiles I've looked at have nothing more than the required basics, not even the checklists done. You want contact? SAY something about yourself! Give me an idea of WHO you are! steps off soapbox

I basically ignore the content of the profiles I read, and instead pay attention to how they are written. If she has a brain, decent self-understanding, and isn't beaten down by life, then I might write. I've met women in real whose profiles said I was too old for them, too young, wrong physical type, wrong race, you name it. People make exceptions based on how you interact with them. Writing a good intro letter -- and not being a dumbass later on -- is far more important than anything you could put in a profile. And, dude, Rover is 100% correct. If you want to post photos, and want to attract relationship-seeking women instead of sensation-seeking men, post a closeup of your face as your primary photo, and save the hip strut for later.

I used to read profiles but once again I now find books far more interesting; same fiction different source. If you are going to read fiction you should at least read fiction written by professional writers is what I believe.[8\|]

I think a good part of the people do read. I know those who have contacted me have read my profile. I've only had about 5 or 6 that didn't and it was easy to just be polite and say this is who I am and what I'm seeking and usually I don't hear from them again. I don't dwell on those as I tend to think it's easy to make a mistake and click the wrong name when writing to a bunch of people blindly.

Not only do I read profiles, but I read journals...if the profile catches my eye, that is... I've gotten emails from some that have clearly read my profile (or more) and some of the 'blind emails' too. shrug Such is the way of Net... tips his hat - Mr. S

of course people dont read profiles... even did a test with putting different pic's as my main photo and some photo's got a ton more responses than the other photo's did. for instance my booby pic got a TON of responses and my catsuit pic also got plenty of response but the pic i have up now just because its my face and nothing sexual... gets little to no response.

I havent gotten many responces that I didnt feel like actually read the profile. I did get one creepy one from a male dom on the west coast... I do read profiles, and If I appear on your "whos viewing me" list I have at least skimed over your profile. I have never sent a message that was an attempt to eventually meet without reading it front to back at least once if not twice.

I always read the profile and usually the journal as well. I don't send out very many messages in the blind, and when I do its based around something in their profile (assuming there is one of course, I stoppd bothering with those a long while ago). I don't normally suffer the wierd messages problem, blind ones from anothers tended to be based around my profile/jounrnal entires or were merely asking a qeustion. The All-Poetry profiles irritate the crap out of me, if I want to read poetry I'll go buy a poetry book (some poetrys ok and I can see the point in including it). One paragraph profiles describing their submissiveness and nothing else do the same (if your on this site with a sub profile, it generally stands to reason your... a sub?) Those 2 things take out about 80% of the sub profiles I've seen over the months (NOTE: I'm interested in local only, so that might be specific to my area as I almost never do searchs at longer distances)

You might also want to consider what your name says to people. It says BAD. Many people equate bad with sadism. Cali

Some people read them, some people don't. There are woman as well as men who don't actually read the profile. It's easy enough to just delete them. If you really want to amuse yourself start looking at profiles from states other than your own. After a little reading youi can see how many BS profiles there actually are on this site. Same pic, same ad, diffeent name, scattered among several states. Don't sweat that stuff, just do your thing. K
