2112 because I am an eternal Rush fanatic.

Why would I ever change any of this?

oooh..I love Rush!!

Grrrr...  *edited to add the text I accidentally deleted before hitting OK*

The name I use on multiple other sites was already taken here (by someone I believe to have been trying to pretend to be me... can't PROVE it, but...).
So,  I had to change my name for this site.
Would I change it to reflect my partner? No, that's what a couples profile is for, at least for us (which reminds me, we gotta work on that! LOL)

I am glad I succeeded

if you read it carefully  ..I said..I have a second name..for when my main name is used. But I try to have the same name on every forum.
But sometimes I try to register..and it is taken...then I use my back up name.

reading is one thing..to read to understand a second :p

I've been julietsierra now for about 10 years...it's the phonetic alphabet for the initials of my name. Most of the people around this area know me as juliet. It'd be real odd for me to come into a munch announcing "I'm now kajiratwinkletoes" Most people would continue to call me juliet. I'd continue to answer to it and about the only place I could see me actually being called kajiratwinkletoes in the event of a change such as that would be in private - where I'd more likely be known by my given name in the first place.

So no... while I don't use my given name in the bdsm public, I answer to juliet as easily as I do that given name - and often it all feels like the same name anyway...

I'll probably be juliet in another 10 years as well.

juliet

I will always be sexyred. Why would I change it? I plan on staying both sexy and red forever if my mom's genes are any indication. :)

I would not add anything to it liked owned by or any such thing; I am me no matter what my relationship status may be.

Oh, and two of the guys I dated from Collarme? They both changed their handles after dating me.

Sometimes posters get put on moderation for saying vile comments, hide their old profile, create a new one, and start posting again using the same typos they did before.  It's an attempt to start fresh.

In some cases a sub may want to be more closely identified with their Dom. A common simple way of doing this and keeping the recognition factor of your original nic, is to add the initials of the Dom in brackets behind your name. Thus in "red's" case she might choose  "sexyred1(MW)". If I choose to do the same it would be "MasterWilliam(red)".  And to answer your question "red", yes I'm flirting with you and I hope you're savvy enough to not take exception. Oh and yes I'm red.

RedMagic....."Start fresh" like they have seen the error of their ways or to post the same vile messages under a different nic.

No, I wouldn't change my name because of a broken relationship.  That would signify that i been whipped, sad case for a Dom.

I have another name on a vanilla chat line, that the only other name i would use if i thought it could pull more intrest.

Eh, I have had a lot of differnet handles, but then again, I've been involved with computers and forums since before IRC, waaay back in the days 1200 baud modems and BBS (nope, that's not a strange kink... well... I suppose you could think of it as masochistic... ZModem, your protocol delivers such bounty...ahh those were the days).

I pick a new name whenever I sign up with something, that requires a personalised profile, and it's just whatever seems most appropriate at the time. I've changed my name on a couple of services, but not for any nefarious purpose, mostly just because I got tired of the old one.

the question was posted due to the last guy i traveled across the country to serve....was not a Master but read some very good books of the Lifestyle...truth was within the flogger...
he has had four names here and is not what he said.....
the truth of the question is.....no....a Master is sure of Himself.....and there is not a need to change with each sub or slave that He has.....
