ORIGINAL: popeye1250 Like I've said before, when I go out for a walk or bike riding or to the gym I rarely see fat people walking, biking or gyming. Popeye, i wonder if it's ever occured to You that people are not doing these things in front of You because You are, in fact, a judgmental jackass....i mean seriously, i understand these are Your beliefs and nothing i say or do is going to change them, but it might just be time to get a clue... quote:
ORIGINAL: popeye1250 When I go to the Chinese all you can eat buffet I always see fat people. Maybe they go down to the beach and jog it off unbeknownst to me. One thing though, should you really be at an all you can eat buffet if you're overweight by that much? No....No...You are right, we shouldn't....In fact, i appoint You the all holy great grand puba of measurements to determine who is and is not appropriate to do what..... It's like seeing an alcoholic in a bar room. And they'll argue with you all night long that they're not alcoholic. ("Filler up Joe") And, I wasn't making a "judgement" about fat people I was just making an *observation* about when I go walking or bike riding or to the gym, all places where the odds of seeing fat people are much less than the Chinese all you can eat buffet. If you're overweight you're not a "victim." You need to make some choices and decisions like an alcoholic does. "But I have a "medical condition"; so do alcoholics, deal with it. You continue that behaviour of drinking (or eating) and you'll die sooner than you should. I don't see a lot of drunks out walking biking or at the gym either. But if I were to go into the dew drop in I know I would. Just an observation, I'm not judging them either. i might not be a victim, but at the same time if this is the attitude by 'non judgemental' individuals why do i want to go someplace where i might have to deal with 'judgemental' individuals? i think i find your analagy more than slightly problematic for a variety of reasons but that's a whole other thread.
