Congress would follow Austalia's lead and make voting mandetory.  It's already been talked about.

But it won't happen because some of us believe strongly in our right and privilage to vote for our leaders.

Status: offline 		Off the top of my head, Constitutionally, I suppose it would be considered a tie vote  0-0.  And the House of Representatives would choose the president.  Relaistically, the shit would hit the fan.

Someone would always vote.  It's like when you are in school and sat in a lecture for hours.  Your ass is sore you've sat there so long..you've been watching the clock for hours.  Everyone wants out so they can go join their families.  Then the professor stupidly asks..."anyone have any questions?"
There are always going to be those types...those who can't follow everyone else.  Those who just have to ruin your day.

I wouldn't want a poor person in office, generally speaking.  Show me one who is intellegent, educated, ambitious and has experience in delegating authority and I'll think about it, no I won't their is still the matterof fiscal responsibility.

Most poor people I know (such a damned steriotype, ick) would facilitate the enabling of more social sercices which would continue to inadequatly manage to create independence in the lower classes.

And boy do I sound like a snob, when in reality I'm a single mom who barely makes above the poverty line.
